Chun Woo-hee Masters the Art of Deception Opposite Kim Dong-wook

The promos have kicked off for tvN’s newly (and improved) titled Delightfully Deceitful (previously Beneficial Fraud), with stills from the drama’s first script reading as well as the first poster of our two leads: Chun Woo-hee (Be Melodramatic) and Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs).

The revenge story is centered around the unlikely partnership between the infamous con artist Lee Ro-woom (Chun Woo-hee) and her over-sympathetic lawyer Han Mu-young (Kim Dong-wook). But with the two coming from different worlds, the poster’s tagline highlights the precarious nature of their relationship: “Desperately wanting to believe, but unable to fully trust.”

Due to her troubled past, Ro-woom has difficulty relating to others. But Mu-young struggles from the opposite extreme. Prone to becoming too invested in the plight of others, he has regular sessions with his psychiatrist to keep his emotional boundaries in check.

In the second lead roles, Go Yo-han – played by Yoon Park (Please Send a Fan Letter) – is Ro-woom’s mellow probation officer, while Park So-jin (Bora! Deborah) takes on the part of Mu-young’s compassionate psychiatrist, Dr. Mo Jae-in.

The supporting cast includes comic bookstore owner and hacker Lee Yeon (Duty After School), as well as the multi-lingual and errand boy extraordinaire Hong Seung-beom (The Heavenly Idol). Although not yet featured, we will also be seeing Lee Tae-ran (SKY Castle) as a big bad in a special guest appearance, facing off with our scammer heroine Ro-woom.

Written by Han Woo-joo with PD Lee Soo-hyun (Shooting Stars, Find Me in Your Memory) at the helm, tvN’s Delightfully Deceitful is currently slated to premiere on May 29 in the Monday-Tuesday slot.
