Reasons to watch: First, let’s just acknowledge the small miracle that this drama was able to keep its unique title in the English, and wasn’t demoted to something far more vanilla. After all, the title, referencing the African desert, is a central conceit of our healing tale. Go Hyun-jung plays an entertainment CEO who’s been ousted and decides to risk everything on a long-time trainee (Ryeoun). But more than that, this is also a story of family, with our heroine’s husband (Yoon Sang-hyun) and son (Lee Jin-woo) also at the center. (Side note: Go Hyun-jung was sick and didn’t make the press con, but the boys of the story held down the fort.)
TL;DR: Family + healing + music + metaphors in store!
