With the premiere now looming just around the corner, coming to our screens in one more week, Disney+ has been pushing out their last round of promos where we take another spin through the seedy Gangnam B-Side lurking amidst the vibrant nightlife in Seoul.
Kicking off our story is a recent string of mysterious disappearances – including key player BIBI (a.k.a. Kim Hyung-seo) (The Worst of Evil) – and this catches the attention of various invested groups for, well, various reasons that are not yet fully explained. We thus have scrappy detective Jo Woo-jin (Narco-Saints) leading the police front, while hard-hearted prosecutor Ha Yoon-kyung (The Frog) has her own orders to follow from her higher-up Jung Man-shik (A Bloody Lucky Day).
This fierce hunt for Kim Jae-hee (BIBI) brings the volatile broker Ji Chang-wook (Queen Woo) into the equation as well and the teaser seems to suggest that our central three leads may reluctantly team up. This would give them an edge in finding Jae-hee first before other antagonistic parties like Im Sung-jae (Hellbound 2) or Kim Do-hyun (Perfect Family).
But it is of course a risky alliance with each having differing agendas and conflicting on the action plan for what happens afterwards, once they actually manage to find Jae-hee. As the teaser comes to a close with the final sequence, the captions also tease that there’s an ugly truth behind everything that’s happening, something presumably that our trio didn’t expect.
We’ll soon find out though when Disney+’s Gangnam B-Side begins streaming on November 6, with production for the crime series led by filmmaker Park Nuri (Money) and writer Joo Won-kyu (Argon).
