While it may be winter now, it’s springtime over at MBC’s romantic-comedy Bunny and Her Boys. The upcoming campus romance stars Noh Jung-eui (Hierarchy) as the titular “Bunny” looking for love. Luckily for her, there are plenty of handsome men to choose from.
Ban Hee-jin (Noh Jung-eui), who goes by the nickname Bunny, is a typical university student with a newfound determination: she wants to date a good-looking person. After a failed relationship, her standards for men have changed, and she screams her desires at the top of her lungs. The universe answers her wish, but maybe a little too well. Enter “the boys” Lee Chae-min (Hierarchy) and Jo Joon-young (All That We Loved).
Spring begins for Hee-jin as not one but two potential boyfriend candidates appear in her life. From falling on top of each other in front of a crowd to attending class together side by side, our heroine goes through the well-known campus romance tropes as well as a few unusual encounters like an electrifying uppercut. Of course, Hee-jin is not the only one experiencing these confusing feelings since Hwang Jae-yeol (Lee Chae-min) starts wondering who she is, and Cha Ji-won (Jo Joon-young) can’t seem to take his eyes off of her.
As youth, excitement, and fate define this latest chapter in Hee-jin’s love life, she calls out to her “oppa” and both Jae-yeol and Ji-won turn towards her direction. With two candidates in the running, Hee-jin says that no one can predict how fate will play out, but her heart thumps at the sight of Jae-yeol draping his shirt over her shoulders.
Directed by PD Kim Ji-hoon (Check Out the Event) with scripts penned by Lee Seul (Dear M) and Sung So-eun (Twenty-Twenty), the webtoon adaptation of Bunny and Her Boys is slated to premiere sometime in April of this year.
