Starring Jinyoung, Krystal, and Cha Tae-hyun, KBS’s latest drama Police University looks like it might be our next dose of drama goodness. Jinyoung plays a hacker turned police cadet who takes a decidedly intellectual approach to policing — a direct contrast to his professor, the veteran detective played by Cha Tae-hyun, who runs on instinct and intuition. The two wind up working together on a case, and I’m hoping for the best of sunbae/hoobae hijinks as these two bring their skill sets (and stubbornness?) to the table. Krystal plays a fellow cadet who also happens to be Jinyoung’s first love, so we can guess where that is heading. Promo material has been really snappy and fun, so I’m hoping that tone carries through to our drama and we get a show that’s full of color, humor, and personality.
