Upcoming drama You Are My Spring is about adults who are still children at heart. Somehow they all end up living in a building where a murder happened. The first teaser belies the dark premise with its cheery mood.
The casting lineup consists of: Seo Hyun-jin (Black Dog), Kim Dong-wook (Find Me in Your Memory), Yoon Park (Birthcare Center) and Nam Gyu-ri (Kairos). Seo Hyun-jin’s character is a hotel concierge manager who decided her career path after a brief stay at a Gangneung inn in her childhood. It made such an impression in her young heart that she decided to think of it as her hometown.
Kim Dong-wook plays a psychiatrist who chose to become one in order to help people live again. People who aren’t living their best lives. People who don’t see the point in living anymore. People like Nam Gyu-ri’s character who are afraid to love. Nam Gyu-ri plays an actress who was used and abused by her previous boyfriend-cum-manager.
Last but not least, Yoon Park plays the CEO of an investment firm who appears in front of Seo Hyun-jin like out thin air. He knows how to comfort her almost as if he had read a how-to manual on her.
In the recently released teaser, Seo Hyun-jin is shown enjoying a bright spring day. Lovely upbeat music plays as she walks around with her earbuds in and smells the flowers. Just as she bends down to smell a white bloom, Kim Dong-wook comes up behind her and takes an earbud out of her ear.
He puts it in his ear, and unexpectedly, the sound of lively trot music comes out. Looking at her, he says, “Oh my,” and they begin jamming out to trot. They grab hands and walk away laughing.
Written by Lee Min-ah (Bubblegum) and directed by Jung Ji-hyun (The King: Eternal Monarch), tvN Monday-Tuesday drama You Are My Spring will begin airing on July 5.
