Ji Jin-hee, Yoon Se-ah, Kim Hye-eun
Upcoming tvN drama The Road: 1st Tragedy has cast Ji Jin-hee (Designated Survivor: 60 Days, Undercover), Yoon Se-ah (SKY Castle, Snowdrop), and Kim Hye-eun (Graceful Friends). This drama is about the greed and secrets of a residential community where only the top 1% of society reside. Finding a conscience and redemption will be large arcs that the story pursues.
Ji Jin-hee plays the “Nation’s Anchorman” Baek Soo-hyun. He’s a very trusted news reporter, to the point where his words are taken as truth without question. However, not many people know that he’s actually a cold man who will use whatever means necessary to get what he wants.
On the other hand, Yoon Se-ah plays Ji Jin-hee’s wife, the daughter of an influential chaebol family that holds the political world tightly in their grasp. Her character is a popular miniature artist who is known for being a graceful wife and wise mother. She’s the key that holds their family together and protects their daily lives, but her unshakeable dignity begins breaking down at the tragic events that begin to unfold.
Finally, Kim Hye-eun plays a newsroom announcer as well. She’s true to her ambitions to live life as flamboyantly and extravagantly as she makes her life appear to be. Despite having a job, schooling, experience, and beauty that anyone would be envious of, she always feels empty and hungry for more.
The Road, directed by Kim No-won and written by Yoon Hee-jung, will begin airing on tvN in the latter half of this year.
