New character teasers have been released for upcoming OCN original drama, Times. Featuring Lee Seo-jin (Trap) and Lee Joo-young (Itaewon Class), Times is about two reporters who pursue the same case together–from two different timelines. It’s a life or death matter and the latest teasers set the pace as they shed some light on what’s at stake if the Lee duo fail in their efforts.

In the teaser for Lee Seo-jin’s character, it’s 2015 and he suddenly receives an abrupt phone call from a frantic Lee Joo-young, claiming that she’s from the future. In the teaser, after he receives that phone call, he reacts with disbelief and distrust, asking her: “What are you?”

Copy appears onscreen: “A truth that transcends time.” She sincerely begs for him to help her, and in the end, he says yes. His character is introduced as Lee Jin-woo, a reporter that seeks the truth and holds strong convictions. A series of different scenes race by and we see a reporters frantically taking photos, a press conference at the Blue House and a man with a long-range rifle. We see Lee Seo-jin racing down a hallway and in voiceover, he’s says, “If there was wrongdoing, it needs to be corrected no matter what. It doesn’t matter if it was ten, twenty, or a hundred years ago.”

In Lee Joo-young’s teaser, it’s 2020, and her character is trying to establish her own identity as Reporter Seo Jung-in, instead of as her father’s daughter. But it’s a little difficult when her father is the president of Korea.

We see her father lovingly wish her a happy 26th birthday and holding up her cake so she can blow out the candles. But as the candles go out, we hear a gunshot and the next shot seems like a different world. She wakes up with a start and everything has changed.

In her voiceover, she says that everything had changed overnight, as if things had all been made up by someone. A memorial for her father is shown, and she sobs in front of it. We see a crowd of people mobbing a car and a quick cut of a gunman. A news anchor reports Seo Jung-in’s request for investigations regarding the truth of her congressman father’s death.

She somehow calls Lee Seo-jin’s character, who is in the 2015 timeline, and tells him the situation: “Tomorrow my father will die. Please help save my father.” In her character description, Seo Jung-in is described as a passionate reporter who stands faces the truth.

Written by Lee Sae-bom and Ahn Hye-jin and directed by Yoon Jong-ho, Times will begin airing on February 20.
