KakaoTV’s upcoming original drama series Lovestruck in the City (formerly City Couple’s Way of Love) has released new posters, featuring its main cast. Ji Chang-wook (Backstreet Rookie) and Kim Ji-won (Arthdal Chronicles) play opposite each other in this story about young people who try to survive tough, city-living while still trying to find love amidst loneliness.
In the poster above, Ji Chang-wook looks adoringly at Kim Ji-won, whose gaze is turned upwards toward the fireworks lighting the sky. The copy says, “The questions that arise after a breakup help you find love.”
In the character posters below, the top question of each poster asks “What kind of man/woman are you compatible with?” And in each corner, the love interest of the main person featured is shown. Ji Chang-wook thinks: “A tough girl? I find myself attracted to strange girls.” Meanwhile, Kim Ji-won thinks: “I don’t know…but there is a man that I can’t forget.”
In Kim Min-seok’s (Because This Life is Our First) poster, his ideal compatible partner is “Lyn , always only Lyn.” Lyn is played by So Ju-yeon (Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 2), and her poster is in the third line. But when she’s asked about men she’s most compatible with, she draws a blank.
Han Ji-eun (Old School Intern) and Ryu Kyung-soo (Itaewon Class) play our last couple. When she’s asked about who she’s compatible with, she answers: “Anyone who matches me well? Men are all the same anyway.” Ryu on the other hand says: “I love ALL [women]. I’ve met with quite a few.”
After a recent incident where a production team member tested positive for coronavirus, filming for Lovestruck in the City was momentarily postponed. It has been reported that filming recently resumed after all the actors and staff members were tested. However, in order to maintain the quality of production while still ensuring the safety of the team, the air date for Lovestruck in the City has been pushed back to December 22.
