Ji Chang-wook (Backstreet Rookie) and Kim Ji-won (Arthdal Chronicles) will be starring in City Couple’s Way of Love (a.k.a. City Couple’s Love Method). Recently, stills of this KakaoTV romance drama have been released, featuring the lovely, happy couple.
City Couple’s Way of Love tells the realistic stories of young people trying to survive and thrive in the fast-pace of the city, by putting forth a certain version of themselves. Despite the fast speed of their romance-making, it’s no less passionate or sincere. The first season, My Lovely Camera Thief, explores how these individuals dream of happiness and love while still trying to be true to themselves and to have courage to confront reality directly.
Ji Chang-wook plays a passionate architect who is also a romantic that knows how to love deeply. He hasn’t been able to forget about the lovely camera thief who stole his heart one summer night and disappeared. Kim Ji-won plays the object of his infatuation, a confident freelance marketer who says what’s on her mind. Although her true self is an ordinary woman, she has an alternate personality that is carefree and a little crazy. It’s when she leaves her daily life behind and adopts her carefree personality that she meets Ji Chang-wook’s character.
City Couple’s Way of Love, directed by Park Shin-woo (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay) and written by Jung Hyun-jung (Romance Is a Bonus Book, I Need Romance), will begin airing in December on KakaoTV. It’s being planned as a multiple season drama, but there have been no details on whether or not the cast will reprise roles or rotate from season to season.
