A new MBC drama called When I Was the Prettiest has started production and casting has been confirmed for its main cast, Im Soo-hyang (Graceful Family), Ha Suk-jin (Your House Helper), Ji-soo (My First First Love), and Hwang Seung-un (Time). The story is about two brothers and a woman who become embroiled in a love affair through a twist of fate.

Im Soo-hyang plays the central character, ceramic artist Oh Ye-ji, who dreams of living a normal life full of simple joys. But that simple life seems impossible when she’s dealt a cruel hand by fate and she somehow gets pulled into a love triangle with two brothers.

Playing our two brothers are Ha Suk-jin and Ji-soo. Ha takes on the role of rally driver Seo Jin, who has a tendency to barrel forward and doesn’t slow down when he pursues something he wants. He first meets Im Soo-hyang’s character at his father’s workshop and immediately feels drawn to her.

Ji-soo plays an architect named Seo Hwan. Im Soo-hyang is his first love and he feels they’ve been destined to be together ever since he fell for her at first sight. It goes without saying that his relationship with his older brother Ha Suk-jin becomes increasingly strained and tense as they become love rivals.

Hwang Seung-un plays Ha Suk-jin’s marketing business partner and ex-girlfriend Carrie Jung. However, she still carries a torch for Ha Suk-jin and has difficulty cutting ties with him in her life completely even though they are now broken up.

Written by Jo Hyun-kyung (Grand Prince), Maids) and directed by PD Oh Kyung-hoon (Bad Thief, Good Thief), MBC’s upcoming When I Was the Prettiest is currently being planned to air August 2020.
