Lee Min-ho and Jung Eun-chae Spark Romance in Stills from The King: Eternal Monarch

Fantasy romance drama The King: Eternal Monarch has released new stills of Lee Min-ho (Legend of the Blue Sea) and Jung Eun-chae (Legal High). In The King: Eternal Monarch, a portal between two worlds open up, and reality begins to warp as these two worlds collide.

The scientific king Lee Gon, played by Lee Min-ho, believes he must close the portal. In order to do so, he teams up with the other world detective Jung Tae-eul, played by Kim Go-eun (The Lonely Shining Goblin), who helps to protect the lives, the relationships, and love of the people around her.

Jung Eun-chae plays the youngest-ever and first female prime minister, Gu Seo-ryung, in Lee Min-ho’s alternate reality version of Korea. Befitting someone who’s made history, she’s confident and a bit haughty as well. They look to be having a tense whispered exchange in the new stills.

Upcoming Friday-Saturday SBS drama The King: Eternal Monarch, written by Kim Eun-sook (Mr. Sunshine) and directed by Jung Ji-hyun (Search: WWW), will begin on April 17.
