A new video teaser has been released for MBC’s upcoming suspense-thriller 365: Repeat the Year (a.k.a. 365: A Fate-defying Year), featuring the main leads as well as supporting cast.
The story follows 10 individuals who are given the chance to go back 1 year into the past in order to “reset” their past year and try to live it better. However, once in the past, they find themselves trapped in a mysterious competition for survival. It becomes a battle of wits as they try to piece together who is telling the truth and uncover the true motivations behind the host who lured them into this game.
In leading roles, Lee Jun-hyuk (The Lies Within) plays police officer Ji Hyung-joo and Nam Ji-hyun (100 Days My Prince) plays webtoon artist Shin Ga-hyun. Both characters are among the group of 10 who decide to reset 1 year of their past. While Kim Ji-soo (Fox Bride Star) plays Lee Shin, the mysterious host who invites the group to take part in the time travel experiment.
The teaser begins with Lee Jun-hyuk on the phone and we hear Kim Ji-soo talking to him, “I can give you an opportunity to go back to the past. It’s a chance to restart your life.” We see the group of 10 individuals meeting together with Kim Ji-soo. In voice-over, Lee Jun-hyuk explains, “I’m going to try. It sounds crazy, but I’m willing to try anything.” While Nam Ji-hyun pleads, “I want to go back. No, I need to go back.” It cuts to a sequence of shots showing each person waking up after travelling back in time. Kim Ji-soo stands in her office with her back to the camera. She tells the group, “If you want to return, then survive. You have to. Well, then, I’ll see you in the past.” And the video teaser ends with close-up shots of Lee Jun-hyuk and Nam Ji-hyun.
Writing for the drama is writers, Lee Seo-yoon and Lee Soo-kyung; and directing will be helmed by PD Kim Kyung-hee (Ruler-Master of the Mask).
MBC’s new Monday-Tuesday drama 365: Repeat the Year is currently set to premiere on March 23.
