Casting has been confirmed for a new drama on JTBC called Private Life. And the line-up now includes actors, Go Kyung-pyo (Cross), Kim Hyo-jin (Mary Stayed Out All Night), and SNSD’s Seohyun (Time).

The drama is about a group of con artists who make an irreversible mistake and they find themselves somehow involved in the private, hidden affairs of state. This puts them head-to-head in a battle of schemes against a large business conglomerate business and they must scramble to use all the tools at their disposal in order to fight and win.

Seohyun takes on the role of Cha Joo-eun, who ultimately chose a swindler’s life due to difficult personal circumstances and a desire to survive.

Go Kyung-pyo plays the part of Lee Jung-hwan. A mysterious character who tries to befriend Seohyun, he’s also playing a double agent as he’s pretending to be the development team manager at the SL Group conglomerate.

Kim Hyo-jin plays Jung Bok-gi, a con artist from a different class. The targets of her cons are other scammers and she performed a job on Seohyun’s family in the past. She fled to China shortly afterwards in order to conceal her whereabouts and is now starting to re-enter society.

Coincidentally, this will be a comeback for all three actors. Kim Hyo-jin’s last movie appearance was in 2016 and it’s been a long 10 years since her last Korean drama, Mary Stayed Out All Night. For Go Kyung-pyo, this will be his first project after completing his army service. And Seohyun was recently in a 2-episode drama special (Hello Dracula), but her last full-length drama was 2 years ago.

JTBC’s upcoming drama Private Life is currently being planned to air in the latter half of 2020.
