Crime-Solving Duo Yoo Seung-ho and Lee Se-young Stills Released for Memorist

New still cuts have been dropped for upcoming drama Memorist, featuring Yoo Seung-ho (My Strange Hero) and Lee Se-young (Doctor John). Based on a webtoon by the same name, Memorist is about how a police detective with a state-registered supernatural ability teams up with an elite profiler to solve the case of a serial murderer.

Unlike the traditional superhero that hides his identity, Yoo Seung-ho plays a supernatural investigator who refreshingly declares his abilities outright and uses them for the public good. He has the ability to perform “memory scans” whenever he touches someone. Is anyone else getting That Psychometric Guy vibes?

Despite his “memory scan” abilities, he’s a lower level police official because of a previous history of using excessive force. In terms of personality, he’s very simple and direct with a strong dedication to justice, and somehow that makes his actions more unpredictable at times. Regarding his character, Yoo Seung-ho said that even though he might seem reliable and emotionally steady, he feels the pain of victims through their memories and is affected by each experience.

Lee Se-young plays the geeenius profiler who has a penetrating eye that hones in on weaknesses and flaws. She’s a chic character, with amazing specs, and currently serves as the youngest ever police superintendent. Although she approaches her cases with a logical cool-headedness, she lives with a fiery passion to catch criminals. With her intelligence and tenacity, she pursues even cold cases to their ends. Despite passing the bar exam at a young age and ranking first nationally, a sudden desire to do fieldwork sparked by a certain case led her to switch career paths from prosecutor to police officer.

tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday drama Memorist, directed by Kim Whee (The Neighbors), So Jae-hyun (Forest of Secrets) and Oh Seung-yeol (Chief of Staff), and written by Ahn Do-ha and Hwang Hana, will begin airing on March 11.
