Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! And happy Year of the Rat or, if you’re an unabashed manga/anime and Fruits Basket fan such as myself, happy year of Yuki Sohma! The holiday did cause a string of pre-emptions — wiping out the entire weekend section — but I doubt it’ll negatively affect those dramas’ ratings. Every single one of them, from Stove League to Crash Landing on You, has already proven themselves with stellar numbers. Now on to those that did air this week…
To my surprise, numbers for Monday-Tuesday drama Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 2, which had been climbing at lightning speed to 20 percent, actually took a slight dip. In turn, its competition over on tvN, Black Dog, made a slight jump. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, we had the final episodes of 9.9 Billion Won Woman and the first two of newcomer The Game: Towards Zero. Which, okay — we now have a drama titled The Game alongside Money Game? Both, unfortunately, don’t have as much game in the ratings area.
