Dramagods, make this happen! According to the latest reports, the legal rom-com drama Reach of Sincerity is currently courting both Yoo Inna (The Lonely Shining Goblin) and Lee Dong-wook (Life) to be its leading couple. Originally, the offer for the male lead was given to Jung Kyung-ho, but it looks like he might have turned it down because Lee Dong-wook’s agency says he is favorably considering the part.
Based on a web novel by the same name, Reach of Sincerity is an upcoming tvN drama about the romance between a prickly lawyer and a top actress. It is being helmed by PD Park Joon-hwa from Because This Life Is Our First.
The story begins with our heroine experiencing a sudden disgraceful fall from her place in the limelight after she has a scandal with a third-generation chaebol. Earlier, the synopsis for Reach of Sincerity contained a line about the heroine disguising herself as a secretary to work for the hero, but it’s missing from the latest reports, though the drama is still being described as a secret office romance.
The best part is clearly the possible reunion between our grim reaper and his queen — this could be their third lives unfolding as it did in the Goblin epilogue! Their chemistry in it was otherworldly, and if they show even a fraction of that energy for this show, I will gladly stay glued to my screen until the end.
Reach of Sincerity will be broadcast starting next January.
