Hyun Bin Protects Sohn Ye-jin in tvN’s Crash Landing on You

In a strange twist of fate, what starts as an innocent day of paragliding for chaebol heiress Yoon Se-ri (played by Sohn Ye-jin) quickly becomes catastrophic when she crash lands north of the DMZ in North Korea. However, she is fortuitously found by military officer Lee Jung-hyuk (played by Hyun Bin) who chooses to help her instead of turning her in.

The newly released teaser is a preview of the premiering episodes and it starts with shots of a North Korean town where Sohn Ye-jin has just landed. She realizes, “I am in North Korea right now” and, as she flinches from the bright lights, a man appears behind her and pulls her away. Cut to Hyun Bin concealing Sohn and he reassures her that, “It’ll get better soon. Everything.” The two drive off together in a car and we hear Sohn Ye-jin speaking in voice-over: “Lee Jung-hyuk, you are a really good person. I want you to be happy.” As she speaks, we see a sequence of scenes showing their interactions. In surrender, Sohn Ye-jin has her hands raised and turns around to see Hyun Bin in full military gear. Cut to Hyun preparing food as Sohn watches him, smiling, and he stops to meet her gaze. In the final scene, the two laugh together by a fire at night and the teaser ends with Sohn Ye-jin sleeping on Hyun Bin’s shoulder.

On the production team, directing for Crash Landing on You is PD Lee Jung-hyo (Romance Is a Bonus Book, Life on Mars) and writing will be done by Park Ji-eun (Legend of the Blue Sea, You From Another Star).

tvN romance Crash Landing on You is premiering in just a few weeks on December 14 and will also be available on Netflix in select countries.
