Hyun Bin plays the North Korean officer who discovers her, and somehow ends up hiding her for the time being. Whilst protecting Sohn Ye-jin from his own country, he ends up falling in love with her.
In the newly released teaser, we get a quick introduction to each of our main players.
A determined Hyun Bin, introduced as a special tactics officer, salutes another North Korean officer as we hear him say he wants to protect something (or someone?). A smiling Sohn Ye-jin is introduced as a South Korean heiress of the top 1%, and she tells Hyun Bin that she’s so famous person that he would keel over if he knew. We get a quick shot of her at the grand opening of a fancy store before we’re introduced to Pyongyang beauty and North Korean one-percenter Seo Ji-hye. She rocks a pair of sunglasses as she strolls through a marketplace and we hear her say she’s been told to grow a close relationship with Hyun Bin.
Then appears Kim Jung-hyun, a young-and-rich South Korean scammer who is targeting North Koreans on some “business.” He disembarks from a train in North Korea and we hear him threaten someone by saying, “If even a hair on my head is damaged, your source of money will disappear.”
This cast has so much potential! I think we may be in for a fun ride either way, but I’m a little worried about how they’ll handle the North Korean aspect of the plot. We only need to wait a few more weeks to know for sure however, as tvN’s upcoming weekend drama Crash Landing on You will begin airing on December 14.
