Is anyone having a hard time catching up with all the new shows? Because I sure am. To make things worse (or better), we have yet another newcomer, with plenty more on the way.
This Monday and Tuesday, we had the premiere of JTBC youth drama A Moment at Eighteen, which brought in 3.0 percent. Not bad, considering the show is chock-full of rookie actors. Another Monday-Tuesday show, Perfume, ended its 32-episode run with 5.9 percent. Its direct competitor Investigation Couple 2 was pre-empted, so we won’t be seeing that finale until next week.
Meanwhile, it’s been a tight race for the Wednesday-Thursday dramas. Everyone’s settled into the 5-6 percent area, with sageuk Rookie Historian in a modest lead. In cable, Search Query: WWW ended with its highest rating of 4.2 percent. And, finally, for the weekend, we have Ji Sung’s Doctor John already reaching double digits. Perhaps this will be the next hit medical drama, a la Doctor Prisoner.
