Ong Sung-woo (formerly of Wanna One) and Kim Hyang-gi’s (Innocent Witness) first meeting is captured in this first teaser clip for youth drama A Moment at Eighteen. The precarious and inexperienced world of adolescence will be presented in this drama, showing a time when you could be passionate about even the small things in life.
Ong Sung-woo plays the role of a teenager named Choi Joon-woo, who despite his lonely daily life, is hardy and persevering. He has an awkward charm because of his difficulty in expressing his emotions. Kim Hyang-gi plays Yoo Soo-bin, a model student who dreams of becoming independent from her helicopter mom who controls everything she does. When Soo-bin approaches Joon-woo with an open heart and mind, he begins to open the door to his heart for her.
The teaser begins with Soo-bin in her school uniform calling out to Joon-woo, “You in the checkered shirt,” and asking if he’s alright. She motions for him to follow her arm movement to prove that he’s okay. He follows her and shows a small smile, to which she also smiles in response. Overlaid against this scene, we hear Joon-woo’s narration say, “Somehow this moment, somehow eighteen.”
JTBC’s Monday-Tuesday drama A Moment at Eighteen will begin airing on July 22.
