Joo Jin-mo and Han Ye-seul Shine in New Big Issue Promo

New stills and a teaser have been released for upcoming SBS drama Big Issue featuring its leads, Joo Jin-mo (Bad Guys: City of Evil) and Han Ye-seul (20th Century Boy and Girl).

The drama is a rise to success story centered around its two leads and set within the tabloid news industry where there is an ongoing war for information. While some are striving to protect and conceal their secrets, others will stop at nothing and use all means to uncover those uncomfortable truths and be the first to get the scoop.

Joo Jin-mo will be playing the character of Han Seok-joo who starts the story as an alcoholic and homeless after losing all motivation for life. However, he soon begins life again as a tabloid photographer.

Han Ye-seul plays Ji Soo-hyun. She has a persistent personality and is the editor of the nation’s most notorious tabloid newspaper, Sunday Dispatch, which is known for being the best at uncovering celebrity scandals.

In the photo above, Han Ye-seul is pictured in full reporter mode. And in the stills below, we see Han Ye-seul and Joo Jin-mo’s first encounter aboard a train. Joo Jin-mo appears to be running from someone and Han Ye-seul motions for him to enter the train compartment to help him hide.

In the released teaser, we see intercuts of Han Ye-seul getting dressed in fancy accessories and walking to her car, while an unseen person lurks in the shadows. We then see camera flashes, and a shot of focusing in and out on Han Ye-seul sitting in her car. Joo Jin-mo then appears in a close-up, holding his camera and taking photos. However, it quickly cuts to someone watching Joo Jin-mo through the security camera footage on a tablet. The teaser then returns to Han Ye-seul smiling in the car as we hear her voice over: “Someone is filming you. Big Issue.”

Big Issue will be premiering soon on March 6, 2019, and will be airing Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS after An Empress’ Dignity comes to an end.
