Top Drama Viewership Ratings: Oct. 9-15, 2017

It kind of feels like every show ever started this week, but that’s likely because every show ever started this week, beginning with Witch’s Court, which took a major leap from 6.6% to 9.5% in just two episodes. Airing four episodes back to back didn’t do for 20th Century Boy and Girl what it did for Sister is Alive, since the former show saw diminishing returns with each episode aired. We’ll see how it does next week, but it’s not looking good.

There was yet another premiere over on tvN with Because This Life Is Our First, which pulled in a decent 2.6% in its second episode. We had two fresh premieres over in the middle of the week as well, though Mad Dog went from a moderate 5.5% to a moderately low 4.8%, and it’s just never good when a show loses viewership in its first week. The real surprise is Buam-dong Revenge Club, which jumped from 2.9% to 4.6%. If it continues that trend, who knows where it’ll end up?

But wait, there’s more! Go Back Spouses premiered in KBS’s Friday-Saturday slot, and also saw a decent rise in numbers to reach 6.0%. JTBC’s The Package didn’t fare quite as well, but it at least maintained viewership through both episodes. And to cap off our crazy week of cable premieres, we also saw the premiere episodes for OCN’s Black, which netted an okay 2.1%, and tvN’s Revolutionary Love, which isn’t doing anything revolutionary (so far) with 2.5%. Let the games begin!
