How to Get Animals in Build an Island
Getting animals in Build an Island is quite straightforward, even for newcomers. Begin expanding your island from the right of the Merchant to access a bridge leading to an island barn. This will enable you to unlock your first barn and two gacha eggs—one standard and one premium.
With sufficient funds, you can draw your first pets immediately. Once you’ve collected these animals, they’ll be stored in your inventory. Simply equip them, approach the barn, and add the animals. They’ll begin roaming within their designated area.
What Do Animals Do in Build an Island?
Animals generate gold with each Haybale they consume. To create Haybales, gather Wheat and convert four units at the Hay Baler. The rarer the animal, the more gold they provide per Haybale eaten. While the idea of animal droppings might seem unappealing, collecting these will earn you an additional 100 Gold.
Initially, you can unlock the first two barns (sufficient for 10 animals). However, to access the third barn, you’ll need Salt and Salt Bags, which takes some time, so patience is key.
To actually get animals, you’ll need to purchase Gacha Eggs. Initially, you can only buy Starter Eggs, but as you progress, Farm Eggs and even Elite Eggs will become available. Unfortunately, the sought-after Exotic Eggs can only be obtained by using Robux, and they house the best pets.
Keep in mind that every pet can have three variants: Regular, Gold, and Rainbow. Gold animals yield more than regular ones, while rainbow variants offer the highest rewards.
