Understanding the Swords in Verse Piece

Swords serve as your primary source of damage in Verse Piece, especially as you progress into the late game. They unlock enhanced M1 attacks along with a selection of powerful moves. Each sword can have up to five moves (Z, X, C, V, F), with lower rarity swords typically offering two to three. Mythic and Exotic swords often feature at least four moves and achieve very high damage outputs.

Top Swords in Verse Piece

Voidedge (Cid V3) tops the list as the best sword due to its high M1 damage and long-lasting attacks that can sustain CC on enemies. The Lancer stands out for having the highest burst damage among swords, placing it in second. The Rowan sword provides ample CC and high M1 damage, while Sung Jin Woo impresses with excellent bleed capabilities and decent M1 damage. Although Cid V2 and Emiya pack more damage, their overall DPS falls short compared to other top contenders.

For those pondering the performance of other swords, Toji V2, Red Mist, Yoriichi, and Kokushibo deliver great results, featuring decent AoE and very high damage, albeit slightly below the level of Cid V2. Swords in A tier or lower generally suffer from inferior M1 damage, DPS, or AoE compared to S-tier swords.

You can enhance your swords in Verse Piece by interacting with the Blacksmith NPC on Blacksmith Isle. Upgrades cost one Enhance Stone, and there’s only a 10% success rate. Typically, you will require about 50 Enhance Stones to max out a sword.

How to Acquire Enhance Stones

The best strategy for farming Enhance Stones in Verse Piece is to go fishing. Alternatively, you can trade for them, find them in chests, or mine them. Chests typically drop from bosses scattered around the map, especially in dungeons. Grinding through Boss Rush dungeons proves effective since each dungeon contains five bosses, with each dropping one to two chests upon defeat.
