To acquire new Cursed Techniques in Heian, you need to visit specific locations and fulfill particular questlines. Some techniques are straightforward, requiring only Yon or Cursed Items, while others necessitate completing entire questlines assigned by NPCs. Below is a detailed list of each Cursed Technique and how to obtain them:
- Shrine – Pursue the main story until you encounter both Tengu and Fiend. Defeating them yields a Cursed Embryo. Present the Cursed Embryo to Kenny in the Light Cave, just past the Zenin Residence, where it gets converted into a Cursed Finger. Consume the finger to begin the Shrine quest, and you’ll receive the Shrine Cursed Technique upon completion.
- Cursed Energy Discharge – To unlock this technique, you must be a Grade 2 Sorcerer and possess a minimum of 60 CO.
- Sword Saint – Visit Nagano and enter the Bar; speak with the Trainer repeatedly until you receive the quest to gather four blade fragments. The locations are:
- 1. Vashe Wilds – Cave near Kirisaki Village.
- 2. Tundra – Temple of the Forgotten Hero, down the stairs.
- 3. Overgrowth – Located inside one of the buildings in the Zenin Residence.
- 4. Oasis – Found in the pit near Demon calamity.
- Mythical Beast Amber – Make your way to the summit of Mount Fujin near Nagano Village. Wait to be struck by lightning at the peak, then return to the Trainer for a quest: defeat a Sorcerer of equal rank. Completing this will reward you with the Cursed Technique.

- Projection Sorcery – This technique requires you to be at least Grade 2 and complete the Zenin Cart Event.

- Auspicious Beasts – To learn Auspicious Beasts, visit the Ethereal Bamboo Forest and meet the teaching NPC. You must be a Grade 2 Sorcerer and fulfill his demands: either pay him 20000 Yon or choose the option costing 3000 Yon along with 10 Gold.
- Ratio – Head to Kirisaki Village and speak with the Grade 2 Sorcerer. He’ll assign you missions to exterminate five weak cursed spirits and defeat a Brute, a Frozen Brute, and Kuchisaki. The latter two can be located in Vashe Tundra via job board quests.
