I crouched behind a rusted crate and realized the map marker had tricks up its sleeve. The sun burned the canyon rim and waypoints blurred under the glare. The three glowing orange shards were a dropped compass in a sun-baked map.
I’ve hunted these fragments across runs on Steam and console builds, and I’ll show you how to find each one without wasting time. You’ll learn which corners of the Canyon hide them, how to grab the sneakiest piece, and where to play the reward inside the game.
Dust on a trail — All Canyon Music Disc Fragments in Far Far West and how to get them
Short answer: there are three fragments scattered across Canyon, no fixed order, and each glows orange when you’re standing in the right spot. You can split the search across multiple runs; the game saves the discoveries per profile so you don’t have to sweep the whole map at once.

The map above marks all three positions. Each fragment sits in an obvious but easily missed niche: beside crates, under an underpass, and tucked behind boxes deep in a mine. Walk to the exact coordinates and the orange glow will pop — then interact to add the piece to your collection.
- Fragment 1 — Open flats, near a cactus: Head to the marker labeled “1.” You’ll see a small cluster of boxes on the ground beside a cactus. The fragment sits in plain sight; interact with it and it’s yours.
- Fragment 2 — Underpass, southwest Canyon: Go to the “2” marker in the southwest. There’s an underpass; the fragment is tucked below it beside stacked boxes. Those boxes partially conceal the shard, so check every shadowed edge.
- Fragment 3 — Mine, southeast Canyon: Enter the southeast mine and travel toward its middle. Use a mine cart to push past blocking carts until you’re halfway inside the cave. On your left a raised platform holds two boxes; the fragment hides directly behind them.
Where are the Canyon Music Disc Fragments located?
They’re clustered in three distinct areas: an open flat with a cactus, the southwest underpass, and the southeast mine. The image above points to each site; if you can open a second tab to compare the map on Steam or a console guide, you’ll save time.
Can I collect fragments across multiple runs?
Yes. The game records each fragment you pick up on your profile, so you can gather one or two fragments per run and return later to finish the set. That’s useful if you prefer short sessions or want to clear other objectives first.
What song do I get after collecting all fragments?
Collect all three and you gain access to the Psychedelic West track. You can play it in the Saloon repeatedly, and the Desert map offers another collectible track if you’re chasing the full jukebox.
Sun-scorched timbers — Getting the mine fragment and where to play the tune
The mine can feel cramped, noisy, and full of blind corners; patience and a cart ride are your friends. When you reach the crates on the platform and slot the fragment into your tally, head back to the Saloon to enjoy the reward.
The Saloon is a jukebox fed by the fragments — drop all three in and the Psychedelic West track becomes playable any time you visit. This works the same on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox editions of Far Far West, and it’s a small collectible that rewards exploration over pure combat. Moyens I/O’s screenshot above helps as a visual checklist if you’re using a second screen.
If you’re methodical and patient, each fragment should take only minutes to recover. Will you chase down every shard and sit through Psychedelic West, or leave the soundtrack for someone else to find?
