LumenTale Crafting Guide: All Cooking Recipes & Ingredients

I still remember the fountain steaming at dawn while my ingredients blinked out of existence. I cursed, learned, and came back with a recipe scribbled on a napkin. You will want those moments to go your way—fast.

I’ve spent long hours at Talea’s fountains and in forum threads on Steam and noticed the same pattern: small choices swing fights. I’ll walk you through what matters, what wastes ingredients, and how to make experimental runs with the least heartbreak. The crafting menu is a Swiss Army knife for survival—use it wrong and a blade snaps; use it right and doors open.

How crafting works in LumenTale

A fountain in a street market will steam at your feet while a vendor folds his arms and watches.

You craft at those fountains. Open the menu and choose a known recipe if you have its ingredients, or pick Experiment and toss ingredients into the pot to see what emerges. Known recipes show required counts; experimentation demands you meet at least the recipe’s minimum ingredient counts to produce anything.

If you try to craft something without enough of a needed ingredient, the action will be greyed out. When experimenting, you must match the minimum totals—make Pane without the recipe and the pot expects at least three Flour and two Salt. Fail to meet that, and nothing happens.

Experimentation carries risk: if the combination is valid you might succeed and create the dish, or you can fail and lose the ingredients. Success does not always immediately add the recipe to your known list. According to a loading-screen hint, repeating the same experimentally produced dish enough times will eventually teach it and add it to the menu.

Characters matter. You can swap between Trey, Ales, and Nada in the crafting screen to see different success rates. Trey cooks best; Ales excels at inventing items like Bilia. Pick the character with the highest success percentage to cut down on losses.

How do you craft items and food in LumenTale?

Open a fountain, choose a recipe you know (if you hold the ingredients), or select Experiment. For experiments, meet the minimum ingredient counts of the hidden recipe. If a tested set matches, you’ll either make the item or lose the materials on failure. Swap party members to find the best success odds before you press Create.

How do you learn new recipes?

Learning is gradual. Successfully making a dish via experimentation can fail to teach it immediately, but repeating the same successful experimental creation will eventually add the recipe to your list. Buying recipes from vendors or finding them as gold-sparkling spots on the ground shortcuts that grind—use those when a saved hour is worth more than a sack of flour.

Where can I get recipe blueprints?

Recipes appear in vendors’ stalls (BoomBoom’s Fantastic Gastronomic Arena in Voltar is one example), in the overworld as sparkling ground pickups, and occasionally as clues on the Lumen Clubs’ notice boards. You can also reverse-engineer recipes from dish descriptions—but that costs time and trial.

Where to get recipes

A city grocer will sell small booklets and a wandering child will point to a sparkle in the alley.

Buy recipes at city vendors or find them on the ground as gold sparkles. Lumen Club notice boards will show pictorial hints—count the icons and guess the ingredient totals. If you want speed, buy from vendors; if you enjoy the puzzle, experiment or interpret the board clues. Moyens I/O’s screenshots in this guide show some of those vendor menus and notice-board hints.

You don’t need a recipe to tell you which ingredients are in a dish, though it’ll tell you exactly how much to add. Screenshot by Moyens I/O

Notice boards sometimes give hints—images without numbers. That’s the game asking you to reverse-engineer quantities from icons. If you enjoy puzzles, these are your hunting grounds; if you prefer guarantees, vendors sell the exact pages you need.

All cooking recipes

At a family table you might see a dish and know the taste before the first bite.

Below is the current list of cooking recipes, their effects, and ingredient requirements. Use this when planning runs, stocking fountains, or assigning who will cook. Recipes are grouped and illustrated with images from Moyens I/O where available. Recipes are living data—expect additions as players find more combinations.
