How to Capture Panthalus and Reach the World Tree in Palworld

I froze on the tower’s spiral stair as waves of light pulsed across the map — the portal at the top humming like a lighthouse in a storm. I had one shot: get Panthalus in my squad and get to that World Tree before the zone sealed. You will feel that same pressure the first time you stand at the shrine and the ground starts to hum.

Disclaimer: Work in progress.

On my playthrough the island’s map pins kept shifting, which is common with new content drops — details may change. I’m writing from several runs through Sunreach Island, testing strategies that felt reliable for a level-60–75 crew. Treat the route below as a living checklist: it gets you there fast, and I’ll show where to adapt if things go sideways.

How to capture the Panthalus in Palworld

The Feybreak Tower stood like a needle over the plain the first time I found it. You need that tower: climb to the rooftop portal and it zips you to Sunreach Island, the only access point for this sequence.

Step 1 — disable the island barrier. Six terminals litter Sunreach; each one flips a switch and eats a minute if you use teleport towers as fast travel. I recommend clearing the immediate zone and then teleporting between towers; it saved me multiple fights.

Step 2 — climb the Sunreach boss tower and face Auri and Shaolong. This fight is tactical: if your party is within the recommended level band you can kite their combos and exploit openings. I beat them by staggering with heavy hits and pulling off a single-target burst when Auri resets.

Step 3 — talk to Auri after the fight. She points you toward the Panthalus shrine and a helpful NPC. That NPC sends you on a short scavenger hunt: find four giant remains spread near the island towers.

Step 4 — gather the four remains, teleport back to base, and craft the Echoing Flute at your workbench. The recipe is simple and the required mats sit on those remains; once you have the flute, return to the NPC at the Panthalus Shrine and play it to bait the boss.

How do I capture Panthalus in Palworld?

You fight it down to zero HP and then throw a Pal Sphere — plain and simple. I recommend saving a high-tier Pal Sphere and bringing a support Pal that can revive or shield while you chip the crystal on Panthalus’ head. Aim for the crystal; it takes noticeably more damage when struck directly.

What level is Panthalus?

It’s a level 70 boss — expect a tough two-phase encounter. I ran this with a party averaging 68–72 and found the fight demanding but fair. If you’re lower, bring more healing and think in burst windows rather than sustained DPS.

Battle tips and loadout

The first time I entered the arena my best Pal got caught in a tidal wave and went down fast. You’ll want a balanced squad: one high-damage Pal to break the head crystal, one tank to soak hits, and a healer or shield Pal to keep the damage windows open.

During phase one, shoot the crystal and kite the waves. Phase two moves Panthalus in close; watch for body slams and stagger windows. I found that crowd-control effects and stun-locks open the single-target burst windows you need to drop it fast.

Handy tech: use Steam guides, Pocketpair patch notes, and top YouTube streamers for minute-by-minute movement cues. The Palworld Discord communities often post exact spawn coordinates and short clip tactics that saved me several attempts.

Loadout checklist: high-tier Pal Sphere, one tank Pal, one burst-DPS Pal focused on precision shots, one healer/shield. Keep ranged ammo and healing items on hotkeys.

Where is the World Tree in Palworld?

The World Tree sits at the marked map pin you unlock after capturing Panthalus. Once Panthalus is in your squad, approach the map marker and interact with the nearby terminal to open the gate. That terminal is the last barrier; flip it and the entry path to the World Tree activates.

After the capture: what to expect

I stood under the World Tree’s shadow and felt the map shift — the interior is immediate content with puzzles and a boss loop. If you want to explore it solo, bring a resilient squad; if you join friends via Steam or Xbox crossplay, coordinate roles and revive plans.

The World Tree area rewards high-level Pals and rare gear — the risk-reward is intense, and the room layouts are often as delicate as a glass bell, so handle mechanics with care.

Community tip: clip your attempts and post to YouTube or share short clips on Twitter/X and Discord; streamers often spot mechanical tricks in the footage and will point out faster routes. Pocketpair’s official notes sometimes change spawn timing, so check patch posts before a big run.

Are you ready to take Panthalus and push the World Tree’s gates open and show the community a run that rewrites the meta?
