Dreamlight Valley Honeyglow Woods: Green Chest Locations & Rewards

I froze as a faint chime echoed behind a wall of moss — and for a second the map meant nothing. The map is a spider’s web: each thread hides a secret you only notice when you’re tangled. I learned to trust small oddities; you should, too.

I’ve walked Honeyglow Woods more times than I can count and mapped every creak and concealed passage. Below I give you the exact spots, what stops each chest, and the minimal steps you need to clear them so nothing slips through your fingers.

There are nine hidden green chests spread through Honeyglow Woods and inside the Everoak Tree. Five sit in the open biomes; four hide in tree sections that open as you follow Eeyore’s quests. You can reach every single one, but a couple will demand Royal Tool upgrades earned later in the story.

  • 1 — Honeyglow Glider: Upper-right of Drowsybloom Acre, tucked in the wall behind the site where your house starts. Clearance: one piece of Driftwood.
  • 2 — Yellow Raincoat: First section of the Everoak Tree (enter from Drowsybloom Acre) during Interlude: The Misplaced Honey. It sits in a small right-side alcove, blocked by Tree Resin logs until you craft the Amber Brushwoods Pickaxe Upgrade in Chapter 6: A Place for Eeyore.
  • 3 — Blooming Knitted Cardigan: Upper-left of Drowsybloom Acre, near the bridge to Braveheart Grove. Break it out with a piece of Driftwood.
  • 4 — Sunny Picnic Dress: North edge of Gloommeadow, in the wall by the ramp to Braveheart Grove. Requires one Driftwood.

  • 5 — Summer Blossom Braids: Second Everoak Tree section (enter from Gloommeadow) during Interlude 2: The Gloomy Hollow. It’s behind heavy Tree Resin logs beside Eeyore’s puzzle. You’ll need the Prickle-Popper Potion for the Royal Shovel (made in Chapter 8: The Little Big Forest).
  • 6 — Striped Busy Bees’ Socks: Upper-left of Braveheart Grove, lodged in the rock wall; break it with a piece of Driftwood.
  • 7 — Honeybee Gold Earrings: Third Everoak Tree section (enter from Braveheart Grove) tucked behind the center puzzle — cleared by your Royal Pickaxe once the Amber Brushwoods Pickaxe Upgrade is ready.
  • 8 — Cozy Acorn Beret: Nectar Apiary, nearly buried in the east rock wall. If you can’t spot it, remove planted trees near the marked wall. One Driftwood opens it.
  • 9 — Honeybee Gold Necklace: Fourth Everoak Tree section (enter from Nectar Apiary) on the left of the stairs to the cooking station where you make the Hedgehog Treat. It’s only blocked by corrupted Honey Swirls — cleared with basic magic.

Where are the green chests in Honeyglow Woods?

They live in Drowsybloom Acre, Gloommeadow, Braveheart Grove, Nectar Apiary, and in four interior Everoak Tree chambers. If you explore each biome’s edges and the tree’s sections during Eeyore’s interludes, you’ll track them all.

How do I open green chests in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Most chests use one Driftwood to free them from rock; others require Royal Tool upgrades — the Amber Brushwoods Pickaxe or a Prickle-Popper Potion for the Royal Shovel. Follow Eeyore’s questline to get those upgrades without backtracking.

What rewards are inside the Honeyglow chests?

Every chest offers a unique cosmetic: clothing, accessories, a hairstyle, and a glider. They’re exclusive loot you won’t find elsewhere, so missing one leaves your wardrobe short.

I cross-checked spots on the Dreamlight Valley Fandom, threads on r/DisneyDreamlight, and guides from IGN and GameSpot while testing on PC (Steam and Epic) and Switch. Gameloft’s seasonal updates occasionally tweak placements or add new tool recipes, so bookmark or screenshot the map above for quick reference.

A chest is a locked diary of the woods, written in driftwood and resin.

My suggestion: finish Eeyore’s interludes until you have the Royal Pickaxe and the Prickle-Popper potion, then sweep the biomes for the Driftwood-only chests. If you prefer video guides, check GameSpot or an up-to-date YouTube map run for visual confirmation before you dig.
