Cyberpunk 2077: Welcome to Paradise Guide — Tour Stops & Shards

Cyberpunk 2077: Welcome to Paradise Guide — Tour Stops & Shards

The busker on the Kabuki bridge stops mid-tune when you drop into the scene—there’s a shard in a pipe and the city suddenly speaks. I felt the air tighten, like a cuff around a throat, the moment Richard Night’s voice filled my headphones. You walk away from that tour knowing the city’s founder left more than PR lines behind.

I’ve run this tour twice across Steam and GOG installs, and I’ll save you the aimless hours I burned chasing markers. You’ll get direct steps for every terminal, the shard locations, the fight triggers, and the final choice that changes Aera’s fate. Read fast or follow my breadcrumbs in-game: either way, you stay in control.

Downtown smells like burnt ozone: How to get Welcome to Paradise in Cyberpunk 2077

Observation: the city rewards patience—some jobs only appear after you’ve proven you can survive a few lessons. To make this side job appear on your map you must do two things.

  • Finish the main-story mission The Heist.
  • Raise Street Cred to level 15.

Once both are satisfied, wait for a message from Aera. Read it, call her, and agree to locate Haze and the missing shard. That single decision drops you into the guided tour that Richard Night recorded.

Scuffed tile and idle drones: Quick tour structure and what you’ll do

Observation: the tour feels longer than it is—Richard Night talks, the city breathes, and you replay the past through terminals. Expect about an hour if you listen to every story; you can shave time by skipping dialogue.

Here’s the high-level sequence so you never lose momentum:

  • Find Haze’s shard in Kabuki.
  • Listen to the shard and call Aera.
  • Start the Night Corp tour in Downtown and follow the drone-linked terminals.
  • Visit every tour stop (see list below).
  • Decrypt the NC Revitalization Project shard from your Journal.
  • Return to Kabuki, probe the bridge, fight Militech on the beach, and scan Haze’s body.
  • Meet Aera at the court and choose whether to hand over the shard.

Tile scuffs at Kabuki: Find Haze’s shard and start the recording

Observation: street-level details hide the most important items. Go to the Creek Loop Fast Travel in Kabuki and search for a piece of sheet metal standing in front of a pipe.

Push the metal aside, pull the NC Revitalization Project shard from the pipe, and slot it to hear Richard Night’s intro. Then call Aera and tell her you’re on it.

Glass elevators and humming servers: Start the Night Corp tour and the first stops

Observation: most players miss that the tour is a connected path, not isolated terminals. Fast travel to Halsey & MLK, take the elevator to the third floor, and use the blue Night Corp terminal to begin.

When the terminal prompts you, connect to the nearby drone and follow the markers. The guided path flows in this order:

  • Corpo Plaza — terminal near Arasaka Tower Fast Travel.
  • Arasaka Memorial — use the terminal, then walk to Richard when prompted.
  • City Hall (The Glen, Heywood) — activate and connect to the drone.
  • Biotechnica Farms — long haul across the map, interact with the terminal.
  • NCART — activate and follow Richard as he walks the campus.

The journal on your HUD: How to decrypt the tour shard

Observation: shards live in your Journal; the encrypted ones require a small hacking minigame. Open Journal → Shards → Encrypted.

Select NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache, choose Crack Security, and complete the sequence. If you play on PC (Steam/GOG) with an RTX card, you can record a quick playthrough with GeForce Experience before risky fights.

Concrete that remembers water stains: Coronado Dam, the Med Center, and Militech encounters

Observation: Militech shows up where information matters. Coronado Dam has soldiers on approach, so quicksave before you activate the terminal.

Beat the soldiers, flip the Coronado terminal, and when the tour prompts you to jump a railing—do it. Then head to the Med Center terminal, listen, and call Aera to report what you found.

A busker’s hat and a child’s lost toy: How to read the tour shard for clues

Observation: shards are written by ghosts; read every entry for a name, date, or place. Open Journal → Shards → Other and pick NC Revitalization Project – Identity Cache.

Scroll through Haze’s notes — small mentions point back to Kabuki and the Red Caliburn — then close the shard and follow V’s commentary to the next marker.

Kabuki stop

Concrete dust and children’s laughter: Visit the Kabuki stop and check the bridge

Observation: the bridge is a watching post. Activate the terminal at Kabuki, then follow the marker to the bridge where kids will be gathered.

Scan the edge toward the beach to spot Militech below, drop down, and clear them. After the skirmish, Haze’s body is on the sand—scan her face and pick up the shard beside her. Read it immediately.

Half-scribed notebooks and a final meeting: Scan Haze, meet Aera, and decide

Observation: endings are less about mechanics and more about what you tolerate. After scanning Haze and reading her shard, message Aera and meet her at the basketball court.

Aera asks for the shard. The game ends either way, but the emotional fallout differs:

Choice Consequence
Give Aera the shard She thanks you and carries Haze’s work forward, accepting the risk.
Refuse to give her the shard Aera leaves angry and cuts ties with you.

Receipt in a neon wallet: Rewards and what they mean

Observation: side jobs pay in cash and context. Completing Welcome to Paradise gives you 1,050 Eddies (~€1,050). The payout is the same whether you hand Aera the shard or not; the real currency is information and the NPC reaction.

If you run mods or play with quickhacks, this quest is a clean way to test combat build changes against Militech’s AI without major world-state consequences.

How do you get Welcome to Paradise in Cyberpunk 2077?

You trigger the job after finishing The Heist and reaching Street Cred 15. Then Aera messages you—accept her call and agree to help. CD Projekt Red patched the timing across platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, GOG), so if you don’t see it, check your Street Cred and story progress.

How long does Welcome to Paradise take to complete?

If you let Richard Night tell the whole story and read every shard, budget about an hour. Skip dialogue and follow markers and you can finish in 20–30 minutes. Either way, the tour strings together multiple fast-travel hops—save before long drives or fights.

The shard itself reads like a torn page from a founder’s diary, soaked in something you do not want to examine—but you do. Which side will you take with that knowledge now that Richard’s voice has already done half the convincing?
