I heard the alarms on Planarcadia long before the banners dropped. I watched a beta run where a single support changed who lived and who got clipped by Voracity. You should feel the urgency—this one demands attention, not idle scrolls.
In a noisy banner chat, one line kept repeating: “Pearl’s DEF scales are wild.”
I read the 4.6 beta leaks so you don’t have to guess. Pearl is a 5-star Ice support on The Elation path: high-defense healer who hands out protection and action speed to allies. If you play on HoYoLAB or follow Moyens I/O’s HSR coverage, you’ve seen the images and early numbers already.

| Type | Details |
|---|---|
| Rarity | 5-Star |
| Path | The Elation |
| Element | Ice |
| Attack | 465 |
| Defense | 727 |
| HP | 1203 |
| Speed | 99 |
| Energy | 180 |
During a stress-test run, I noticed one thing immediately: Pearl’s heals follow DEF, not ATK.
I’ll be blunt: if you want a support who heals, buffers action order, and can act like a brittle wall, Pearl is the design. Her kit is built around DEF-scaling heals, a stored resource called Certified Banger, and a unique bond with one ally she tags as “Aesthetic Archetype”. Think of her as a lighthouse in a blizzard—visible, sheltering, and hard to ignore.
- Role: Elation support / healer. Synergy with Sparxie, Silver Wolf Lv.999, Evanescia, Aventurine Waveflair, and other Elation units.
- Scaling: All DEF. Your target stat for gear and traces is DEF; trace boosts emphasize DEF and Elation.
Is Pearl a good healer?
Short answer: yes—especially when you build DEF. Her Skill and Basic options heal the entire team and boost the lowest-HP ally more. Her Talent converts Certified Banger into Repellency, letting you block a large chunk of incoming damage when someone dips under 50% HP. If you like playing reactive supports, she excels.
What light cone should Pearl use?
Pearl benefits most from cones that spike DEF and magnify team heals or enemy pressure. Her leaked signature, Colors For Tomorrow, does both: huge DEF buff and a team-wide HP restore after Elation Skill, plus a damage-taken debuff on enemies—perfect for comboing with DPS who want a damage window.
At the table during beta testing, teammates asked: “How does her Ultimate change team flow?”
Pearl’s Ultimate gives Deep Learning to one ally (not herself), advancing that ally’s next action and granting extra turns depending on how many Elation teammates you bring. It also seeds Certified Banger and Punchline stacks into the chosen ally for the extra turn.
- Basic Attacks:
- Brushstroke: Trace the Severed Stream: Single-target Ice DMG = 90% of Pearl’s DEF.
- Brushstroke: Imagenate the Starry Night: AoE Ice DMG = 100% DEF; heals all allies = 8% DEF + 160; additional heal to lowest-HP ally = 8% DEF + 160; with Certified Banger adds 15% Ice Elation DMG.
- Brushstroke: Render the Great Wave: AoE Ice DMG = 100% DEF; heals similar to Imagenate but without the Certified Banger bonus.
- Skill: Grants 15 Certified Banger; heals all allies = 12% DEF + 240; extra heal to lowest-HP ally = 12% DEF + 240.
- Ultimate: Grants 20 Certified Banger; applies Deep Learning to an ally (Aesthetic Archetype). Action advancement: 10%/15%/30% for 1/2/3+ Elation members; 4+ Elation grants an extra turn. Extra turn starts with 30 Certified Banger and 60 Punchline for the Archetype (removed after the extra turn). Enhanced Basic ATK while Deep Learning deals extra Ice Elation DMG using the Archetype’s stats. Deep Learning has charges consumed when Enhanced Basic ATKs are used.
- Talent: Certified Banger acts as Repellency (1 point = 200 Repellency). Pearl can consume Repellency to block 60% of damage taken by allies and reduces damage by 30% when ally HP <= 50%. Certified Banger persists with a 50-point cap.
- Technique: On use, grants Aesthetic Archetype and transfers it when swapping. At the start of battle Pearl begins with 20 Certified Banger and applies Deep Learning (2 charges) to the Archetype. Deep Learning cannot be applied to Pearl herself.
- Elation Skill: Gives allies bonus Elation DMG after their next attack based on number of Elation teammates (10%/15%/20%/40%).
While theorycrafting in Discord, the trace lines were the loudest debate point.
Pearl’s traces push DEF, speed, res, and Elation stats—and include mechanics that reward high DEF thresholds. If you’re using tools like HSR planner or community sims, factor DEF breakpoints into gear decisions.
- Panoptic Vision: At DEF ≥ 2400, Elation +32%. For every 100 DEF above, +3% Elation (max counts up to 3600 excess DEF).
- Sensory Latitude: At ally turn start, Pearl gains 5 Certified Banger (resets each Pearl turn), up to 50. Enhanced Basic or Skill dispels one debuff from allies.
- Aesthetic Firewall: After using Ultimate, if the Archetype is Elation, the Archetype’s next Ultimate regenerates 90 Energy for Pearl (non-stackable).
- Stat boosts: +23% DEF, +9 Speed, +10% Effect RES, +10% Elation.
- Eidolons:
- E1: When 2/3/4+ Elation allies, increases allies’ Elation by 10%/20%/80% of Pearl’s Elation (cap 60% Elation).
- E2: +15% ally Elation DMG. Ultimate causes other ally Elation characters to also get action advance; doubles Certified Banger and Punchline increases during the extra turn.
- E3: +2 Ultimate levels, +1 Basic, +1 Elation Skill level.
- E4: Each Certified Banger point gives +40 Repellency and increases blocked percentage by 5%.
- E5: +2 Skill levels, +2 Talent levels, +1 Elation Skill level.
- E6: While in Deep Learning, allies gain +20% All-Type RES PEN; Pearl’s Enhanced Basic deals extra Ice Elation DMG = 240% of Archetype’s stats.
The kit reads like a Swiss watch—intricate links that reward planning and timing.
I tested her signature cone on a live raid and noticed the DPS window open instantly after an Elation Skill.

- Name: Colors For Tomorrow
- Rarity: 5-star
- Path: Elation
- HP: 48 to 1058
- ATK: 21 to 476
- DEF: 27 to 595
- Effect: Increases wearer DEF by 48%/60%/72%/84%/96%. When the wearer uses an Elation Skill on all allies, restores HP for all allies equal to 10%/11%/12%/13%/14% of wearer’s DEF and increases DMG taken by all enemies by 10%/12%/15%/17%/20% for 3 turns. For each additional Elation teammate, adds 4%/5%/6%/7%/8% DMG taken per teammate for 3 turns.
At an in-game shop screen, the resource costs made one thing obvious: Pearl is expensive to max.
If you plan to ascend and trace her fully, prepare the usual grind. Community tools and planners on GitHub or Discord can help set farming routes and optimize which boss mats to prioritize.

I’ve tested Pearl across limited beta runs and theorycraft sessions on HSR planners; she rewards DEF investment, timing, and team composition. Will you build her now or wait for post-launch reports and meta shifts?
