Forza Horizon 6 Release Countdown: Exact Date & Time

Forza Horizon 6 Release Countdown: Exact Date & Time

The launcher chimes, your friends are already in voice chat, and the clock refuses to move. I watched a thread fill with “who’s in?” messages until one line changed everything: Premium gets in early. The last-minute scramble felt like a starting pistol—sudden and impossible to ignore.

I’ve followed several big launches, read Xbox’s notes, and timed early-access windows down to the minute. You’ll get the facts, the hours that matter, and what owning each edition actually buys you. If you want to be on the road the second servers flip, read this the way you’d read a pit board.

Forza Horizon 6 release countdown

On launch night my dashboard filled with countdowns and push notifications from friends.

Forza Horizon 6 ships in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. Global release day is Tuesday, May 19, but the Premium Edition opens the garage early—up to four days sooner for some players.

When does Forza Horizon 6 release worldwide?

Xbox and Playground Games set the public release for May 19. If you own Premium, you can start playing before that: Premium owners get access starting May 15 in many regions, and in some time zones that early access begins on the evening of May 14 (see PC times below). Standard and Deluxe follow the global date.

Hurry Up!

Can I play early with the Premium Edition?

Yes. Premium is the early-access ticket. If you buy or upgrade to Premium you can join the servers up to four days before the public launch—an advantage that feels like finding a secret back gate into a festival. Premium also bundles VIP membership, two car packs, and other bonuses; Deluxe includes the Car Pass (weekly vehicle drops) but not the full Premium bonus pack.

What time does Forza Horizon 6 launch on Xbox and PC?

On Xbox consoles the rule is simple: the game goes live at midnight in your local time on the release date for Standard and Deluxe. Premium owners will see the earlier access window applied in the same local-midnight style on eligible days.

PC early access uses a fixed schedule (Premium window). For PC players the Premium launch aligns with these times:

  • 9pm PT (May 14)
  • 11pm CT (May 14)
  • 12am ET (May 15)
  • 4am UTC (May 15)
  • 5am BST (May 15)

Those PC times come from Xbox’s official info; if you play via the Microsoft Store, Steam, or the Xbox app on Windows, plan for those clocks. For consoles, treat your local 00:00 as the flip point.

Edition breakdown: what each option actually gives you

In my group chat, choices became a negotiation: who buys Premium, who splits the cost for DLC.

  • Standard — Base game, available to everyone on May 19.
  • Deluxe — Adds the Car Pass (weekly cars) and launches with the Standard on the global date.
  • Premium — Early access (up to four days), VIP membership, two car packs, extras. Early access begins May 15 for many players and in some zones on May 14.

If you use Xbox Game Pass, keep an eye on official channels—Playground Games and Xbox Game Studios have historically used Game Pass for flagship Forza releases, and official listings will spell it out.

Hurry Up!

If you want the fastest route into the game, Premium is the ticket. If you’re content to join the crowd on May 19, Standard or Deluxe will get you there too—with Deluxe keeping your garage refreshed weekly via the Car Pass.

I’ll be watching the official Xbox channels and Playground Games’ Twitter for any last-minute shifts. Which edition will you choose, and would you pay for early access to start a few days ahead of everyone else?
