Disney Dreamlight Valley: Speedrun Crash Course Quest Walkthrough

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Speedrun Crash Course Quest Walkthrough

You stumble from the trees into wind and white noise — Hercules kneeling, Phil grumbling, and a storm that won’t quit. I watched you size the barrier and felt the same itch: this is solvable, but only if you move fast. Stay with me; I’ll hand you the route and the timing that makes the rest of the quest feel inevitable.

The air tastes metallic after a storm. How to complete Speedrun Crash Course in Disney Dreamlight Valley

I ran this sequence three times so you don’t have to guess where the timers bite. You and Hercules need to turn a blocked path into a short series of objective checks: gather flying gear, make an offering, cook a Legendary Meal, prove your speed on the Hermes course, then use the Hermes symbol to cross the storm. I’ll walk you through each step, the little traps I tripped over, and the exact moments you should sprint instead of stall.

Fallen branches crowd the trail. Meet Hercules and Phil in the dark woods

I found Hercules near the end of the Moonlighting as a Hero quest and he dashed off to Phil. You should go back into the same dark woods and speak to Phil — he organizes the plan. He wants Hermes’ help and the first idea is practical: flying shoes. You gather materials, he figures the rest.

Dew and gold dust gather on low branches. Catch all the Pegasus Feathers

The game drops five Pegasus Feathers as moving sparkles around the Dark Woods. Spot the golden glints, chase them, and press the prompt to pick up each feather — they’re nimble, so you need to be quicker. If your stamina runs short, eat to refill energy and glide; that makes catching them far less annoying.

Where are Pegasus Feathers located in the Dark Woods?

They drift across the open clearings and near the ruins where you first met Hercules — follow the bright sparks rather than a map marker. Treat the feathers as time-limited pickups; every second you waste watching one dance away is a second off the Hermes timer later.

A pile of broken marble lies like a forgotten sculpture. Break Winged Boots out of a marble pile

One marble pile hides the Winged Boots; you’ll spot the boot tips poking through when you’re close. Equip the Royal Pickaxe and chip them free — for me they were tucked near a pair of fallen stone pillars at the back of the woods. These boots give you the speed boost you’ll need on the course and for the storm crossing.

How do I get the Winged Boots?

Search every marble pile in the Dark Woods until you see boot shapes or metal glint. Use the Royal Pickaxe to mine them out. Once you have the boots, keep them in your inventory — you’ll place them on the Hermes Pedestal shortly.

Footprints lead back to a small clearing. Return to Phil

When you’ve gathered five Pegasus Feathers and the Winged Boots, loop back to Phil and Hercules. Tell Phil what you’ve picked up, then follow him to the Arena — the same obstacle area you used during Moonlighting as a Hero. Phil’s pacing tells you how urgent the next steps are; match it.

A wing emblem gleams near the arena floor. Place the Winged Boots and Pegasus Feathers on the Hermes Pedestal

Find the Hermes Pedestal behind Hercules in the Arena — it’s the sparkling stand with a wing icon. Place the Winged Boots and all five Pegasus Feathers as an offering. Nothing happens at first; that’s expected. Talk to Hercules afterward and get ready for round two of persuasion.

Water runs cold under the waterfall. Gather all Legendary Ingredients

Hercules thinks Hermes wants a real meal. Your job: collect five Legendary Ingredients scattered through the Dark Woods so you can cook a Legendary Meal that will actually draw Hermes’ attention.

  • Aegean Delights — found in the pond under the big waterfall near the realm entrance.
  • Legendary Goldfish — also in that same pond; fish spots will glow.
  • Greek Cheese — pick the single special cheese behind a mineable rock on the right after entering the side of the woods where you found Hercules.
  • Greek Fruits and Veggies — lying on the ground next to a long lounge chair inside the woods.
  • Giant Lettuce — near the same lounge chair where the Greek Fruits are.

A small fire crackles near the arena gate. Cook a Legendary Meal for Hermes

Head to the fire pit by the Arena entrance and clear any Hephaestus Coals with the Royal Shovel if needed. Toss all five Legendary Ingredients into the pot and make the Legendary Meal. Then carry the finished dish back to the Hermes Pedestal and place it with the boots and feathers. That extra offering makes Hermes respond — and now you can take the Winged Boots for yourself.

Chalk lines mark the start panel. Start the Hermes Obstacle Course

Interact with the start line left of the Hermes Pedestal. You get five minutes on this run. The course is tougher than the first Arena trial, but the Winged Boots give you speed and short bursts that shave seconds. Treat shortcuts like bets: commit when you know the jump, otherwise keep steady and avoid resets.

A wing icon glows on the ground. Return to the dark woods by interacting with the Hermes symbol

After the course, interact with the sparkling wing symbol to instantly teleport back to the Dark Woods. That teleport is your reset point. Speak to Hercules when you arrive to progress the story and prepare for the final push.

Cliff wind snaps at your cloak. Go through the storm

Stand where you first met Hercules at the cliff edge and use the Hermes symbol to teleport through the storm. The storm is a locked vault — only the Hermes route opens it. Hercules and Phil will follow; talk to Hercules as soon as you land and the Speedrun Crash Course will close while the Thunderstuck quest begins. You’ll be closer to getting Hercules and Phil as residents, but there are more steps ahead.

How do I complete the Speedrun Crash Course quest?

Collect five Pegasus Feathers, free the Winged Boots from a marble pile, gather five Legendary Ingredients, cook the Legendary Meal, run the Hermes course within five minutes, and use the Hermes symbol to pass the storm. Run the sequence in that order to avoid backtracking. If you play on Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, or Xbox, the mechanics are the same; Gameloft built the quest around timing rather than platform-specific inputs.

Heads-up: Moyens I/O’s screenshots and clips helped me map a few obscure item spots, so their gallery is useful if you get stuck. Think through each step as a short checklist and you’ll shave wasted trips off the clock. The Winged Boots are rocket skates in terms of momentum; treat them like a limited boost rather than permanent flight.

Are you going to sprint the course and beat the clock or take the scenic route and lose the timing edge?
