All Secret Dungeons & Infinite Vein Crystals – DragonSword Awakening

All Secret Dungeons & Infinite Vein Crystals - DragonSword Awakening

I was two hours into finishing a late-game build when my Vein Crystals hit zero. You know that hollow pause—every craft, every upgrade, frozen by one missing item. I followed a rumor to two underwater spots and turned that pause into steady progress.

I’ll walk you through how I reached both secret dungeons, what each run drops, and the simple setup you need to run them back-to-back. You’ll use Swim Dash, a handful of stamina dishes, and a short route that’s not marked on the map.

At low tide a friend once pointed out a submerged stair that appears only for minutes — All Secret Dungeon locations in DragonSword: Awakening

The game hides two level-40 secret dungeons under the sea: Ruins Beneath The Waves and Sunken Ruins. Neither shows on the map, and you can’t fast-travel into them, so you have to reach the shore and swim down.

Practical route notes: Ruins Beneath The Waves sits west of the A Forgotten Heaven region. Sunken Ruins is reachable by diving from the shore just right of the Goblin Bandit’s Cave Dungeon on Hill of Journey. You must have the Swim Dash familiar ability equipped and bring stamina recovery food—swimming to the bottom will chew your stamina without those buffs.

Each run reliably drops Vein Crystals and a mix of crafting crystals. The secret dungeons are a locked diary of loot: once you know where to open it, the entries keep coming.

  • Ruins Beneath The Waves: 15 Vein Crystals, 20.000 Gold, 10 Crystals of Reverie, and 10 Crystals of Oblivion
  • Sunken Ruins: 15 Vein Crystals, 10.000 Gold, 10 Crystals of Remembrance, and 10 Crystals of Recollection

Where are the secret dungeons located?

Short answer: under the sea. Head to the coast west of A Forgotten Heaven for Ruins Beneath The Waves, and drop from the shoreline east of Hill of Journey (right of the Goblin Bandit’s Cave) for Sunken Ruins. Both are reachable only by swimming to the sea floor while using Swim Dash.

How can you farm Vein Crystals indefinitely?

Both dungeons are repeatable level-40 runs that each hand you 15 Vein Crystals per clear. Clear them, teleport back to town, restock stamina dishes if needed, and run again. Because they don’t consume a unique key or a one-time flag, you can grind them indefinitely — Vein Crystals are a well that never runs dry if you set up a small routine.

I once watched a sushi chef turn scraps into a tiny miracle — How to cook the best stamina recovery dishes in DragonSword: Awakening

Swimming to the bottom eats stamina fast. Bring Egg Renew and a combo of swimming-focused dishes so your familiar can dash, swim, and surface without popping a potion every run.

Dish Recipe (Type) Effect Uptime
Egg Renew Egg (Slice) Restores 25% of your familiar’s stamina (Team) Instant
Sashimi Fish (Slice) -15% stamina consumption when swimming or diving with a familiar (Team) One Minute
Assorted Sashimi Meat + Fish (Slice) -20% stamina consumption when gliding and swimming/diving with familiars (Team) One Minute
Seafood Sauce 2x Fish + Seafood (Slice) -30% stamina consumption when both swimming/diving with a familiar and dashing and swimming (Team) One Minute
Assorted Sushi Fish + Vegetable + Graina (Slice) -30% stamina consumption when swimming/diving with a familiar. Instantly recovers 40% of your character’s stamina One minute
Assorted Rice Balls Meat + Fish + Grains (Slice) All stamina consumption is reduced by 40% One minute

Use Egg Renew for emergency top-offs and pair it with Seafood Sauce or Assorted Rice Balls for the biggest reduction in consumption. If you’re speedrunning runs, stack buffs so your familiar never stops dashing.

Want visual guides? Search Steam guides, Reddit threads, or short clips on YouTube and Twitch — creators often post dive routes and stamina timings. You can also find route discussions on Discord servers for DragonSword: Awakening and on the Moyens I/O post that inspired my route.

As you’re already heading below the waves, don’t miss Kalien’s secret Vestiment of the Great Spirit costume near the same shores — it’s a small bonus for players who clear both dungeons.

So, will you run these two hidden halls tonight?
