I remember sitting in the Hage inn while a player two seats over frantically rerolled for a Devil race. The tension was small but electric — every spin felt like a tiny gamble. Early rolls are lottery tickets with ink still wet.
I’ve played long enough to spot what actually matters in Clover Time. I’ll tell you which races, classes, and traits are worth grinding for, where to reroll, and how to stop wasting time on false promises. You’ll get clear priorities so your next character doesn’t feel like a regret souvenir.

The short version: rarity rules here. S-tier races and classes give the biggest stat and farming advantages, so if you score a Devil or Sovereign you’re stacking value that pays off in both combat and Yuls. A-tier picks like Merchant or Elf are excellent if you want a faster, less grindy start — they put useful boosts into your pocket without the reroll anxiety.
How to Reroll Race, Social Class & Traits: Tap Menu (top-right) → Customize → Rolls at the top, or speak with the priest in the Church in the starting Hage village. I use the Rolls screen when I’ve already got a feel for which traits I’ll accept; otherwise the priest is a quick reset.
How do I reroll Race, Social Class & Traits?
Open the Rolls menu or visit the Church priest. Reroll until you hit at least an A-tier combo if you care about long-term progression; if you want to earn while you play, Merchant + Elf or Human Dwarf is a practical way to start.

Traits skew the same way as races: rarer equals stronger. For early play, Fast Learner and Coin Eye accelerate progression and cash flow, and High Mana is the safety net if you prefer spell spam over melee trades. Traits are a Swiss Army knife for your build — choose the blade you need for the job.
Which traits are best for beginners?
Fast Learner and Coin Eye. Fast Learner gets you levels faster for skill unlocks; Coin Eye funds gear and crafting. If you plan to spam spells, High Mana or Mana Sensitive will save you far more time than an extra 5% HP regen.
I’ve seen players wander through the Tower searching for a Grimoire they only half wanted. Clover Time Grimoire Tier List
The Grimoire tier list is still being finalized, but the hunt mechanics are straightforward and worth mastering early. Grimoires change how you play; if you want to spin for one, you need the Tower and Mana Crystals — both of which I’ll make simple to find.
How to Find the Tower for Grimoire Spins: The starting village’s NPC Finral can teleport you to the Tower if you want to reroll your Grimoire. You can also walk or broom-fly there from the starting village by heading forward between 105 & 120 direction following your compass. Mana Crystal are required to be able to spin Grimoires.
How to Get Mana Crystal: You get them from Chests, finding them in the open world or by Crafting them with Fragments you get from enemies like Mana Wolves. Also, an easy way to get them is by buying a Fishing Rod and fishing in any body of water for fish which you can use to craft Fragments and Mana Crystals.
How do I get Mana Crystal?
Loot chests, gather fragments from Mana Wolves and other mobs, or fish (buy a Fishing Rod and convert catches into fragments) — standard loop players in the Roblox community use to farm materials. If you play on Discord servers or follow guides on Moyens I/O, you’ll see fishing routes and fragment spawn tips shared often.
Quick strategy: if you plan to farm Yuls or materials, aim for Sovereign + Devil + Mana Sensitive if you can reroll it — that stack accelerates both resource gain and spell throughput. If rerolling isn’t your style, Merchant + Elf + Fast Learner is the reliable earn-and-level combo people recommend in Roblox circles.
Final thought: S-tier rarity gives the clearest advantages, but A-tier combos are playable and often less painful to reach after a short grind. So which will you chase — a perfect S-tier pull, or a sensible A-tier start that still wins fights?
