Unlocking the Evil Eye: A Guide to The Forge

Unlocking the Evil Eye: A Guide to The Forge

Imagine you’re deep in the Frostspire Expanse, surrounded by treacherous terrains and glimmering crystals. Among these sparkling gems lies a treasure that many players seek: the Evil Eye ore. Introduced in the latest Raven update of The Forge, this mythical ore is crucial for crafting top-tier weapons and armor. In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to get your hands on the Evil Eye and what you can do with it to strengthen your gameplay.

How to Obtain Evil Eye in The Forge

The quest for Evil Eye ore begins in the Crimson Depths, a cave you can access only after completing the second stage of the Raven quest. Before you dive in, ensure you’ve reached level 70 and unlocked the Frostspire Expanse. If you’re there, congratulations! You’re just a step away from this mystical ore.

Once you’ve completed the necessary quest, enter the cave and look for Large Red Crystals and Heart of the Island rocks. Mining these is your ticket to acquiring the Evil Eye. However, the Large Red Crystals are your best bet, offering the highest chance of dropping the coveted ore. The Heart of the Island can also be beneficial, allowing you to farm both the Stolen Heart and the Evil Eye simultaneously.

Red Crystals

Keep in mind, the Large Red Crystals boast a durability of 32,200 HP, and the Heart of the Island rock has 32,500 HP. To successfully break these, you’ll need one of the best pickaxes available in The Forge, with a mining power of at least 650. The odds are tough—only a 1 in 33,333 chance to get Evil Eye ore from these rocks—but persistence pays off. Don’t completely mine any rock unless you find the ore; leave some behind to restore it before your next attempt. Also, don’t forget to redeem your The Forge codes for free rerolls to improve your odds of finding great races, like Dwarf or Angel, which enhance your luck during mining.

The Forge Evil Eye Uses

The Evil Eye ore isn’t just about rarity; it plays a vital role in enhancing your game. With a substantial 13x multiplier, it allows you to forge exceptional weapons and armor. The ore lacks traits, making it less versatile for other purposes, but it carries a base sale value of around $249 (approximately €230). So, while you could sell it, crafting gear from it is a much smarter investment.

Outside of forging equipment, its uses in quests are quite limited at this time. Still, I’m on the lookout for new quests that might integrate the Evil Eye ore. If anything pops up, I’ll be sure to share the details!
