Most players miss the one switch that makes enemies actually drop Goop.
You gain Goop only after you buy the Goop node on the Upgrade tree. Once the node is active, every enemy you defeat gains a chance to drop Goop alongside Coins and other loot. The upgrade line has multiple Goop nodes; each purchase stacks your drop chance and makes future Rebirths less of a grind.
Those nodes cost Coins, and the math favors early investment. Spend coins on the Goop nodes as soon as you can—treat them as upgrades that pay back in faster Rebirths and higher-quality Slimes.
Does Goop reset with Rebirths like Coins and zones do?
No. Your Goop remains intact when you Rebirth. Zones and Coins reset, but Goop stays in your vault, which is why you should hoard it for planned Rebirth pushes.
You’ll notice the highest zones hand out more Goop per kill than the low-level areas.
The simplest rule: farm the highest-level zone you can clear. Zone level scales Goop drops, so even if progress is slower per minute, the per-kill yield is usually better for Goop and high-coin returns.
Buy every Goop node in that branch of the Upgrade tree to multiply your drop odds. If your slimes struggle to kill the maximum spawn, head to Settings and drop the max enemy count. Fewer targets keeps your pets alive and concentrates your damage where it matters.
Stacking those nodes and hitting higher zones will increase returns threefold over chasing low-level packs—your farm becomes steady revenue instead of random spasms of luck, like finding a rare vinyl in a thrift store.
How to best farm Goop in Slime RNG?
Defeat enemies in the highest-level zone you have available and buy the Goop nodes on the Upgrade tree. Use Settings to cap spawns if your DPS is low; this prevents wasted runs and raises your effective Goop per minute.
You can stand at the Rebirth screen and watch potential progress evaporate if you make the wrong call.
Rebirthing clears your Coins and zone progress but keeps Goop and doubles your Luck multiplier each time. Spend or bank your Coins before you press Rebirth—those Coins don’t transfer.
My rule of thumb: early on I stack several Rebirths at once so I don’t grind back up to efficient farming only to Rebirth again. Later, I do fewer at a time. Because the Goop cost doubles with each Rebirth level, planning ahead saves huge amounts of time and frustration.
For math nerds: if your next Rebirth costs 500 Goop and you want four in a row, you need 500 + 1,000 + 2,000 + 4,000 = 7,500 Goop. Saving for a multi-Rebirth run is strategic and satisfying—after a few stacked resets the progress cascade feels like stacking dominoes.
When should you Rebirth?
Stack 3–4 Rebirths early while your efficiency per run is still climbing; later, aim for 2–3. Calculate the total Goop needed by summing the doubling costs so you don’t stop mid-cycle and waste time grinding back up.
