Control Resonant Artifacts: Guide to Finding & Unlocking

Control Resonant Artifacts: Guide to Finding & Unlocking

I was one hit away from a restart when a small trinket I’d ignored for hours blinked its promise on the HUD. I grabbed it, felt the fight tilt, and knew the next run would be different. Read on and I’ll walk you through the handful of items that turn losses into possibilities.

What Are Artifacts in Control Resonant?

In every modern shooter I play, tiny modifiers change the math of a single encounter.

You can think of Artifacts as passive modifiers you slot into Dylan’s loadout. I treat them like a set of surgeon’s tools: precise, limited, and capable of changing a fight when used at the right moment. Each Artifact must be crafted from an Untapped Artifact you find in the world, plus materials and Source. Once created, equip it from the Loadout menu and let it reshape how you approach combat and survival.

Two behavior notes you should keep front of mind: Artifacts that belong to the same family cannot be worn together, so you pick one effect over another; and any Artifact you’ve outgrown can be recycled for materials.

How to Craft Artifacts in Control Resonant

I watch players treat crafting benches like fast-travel points—useful, but often misunderstood.

All crafting happens at the Artifact Formation station in The Gap. Walk up, interact, and you’ll open a menu that lists every Artifact you’ve discovered and the resources required to finish it. The Untapped Artifact is consumed during the process, so don’t craft on impulse if you’re planning a specific build.

  • PC: Approach the Artifact Formation station and press F.
  • Controller: Approach the station and press L1 when prompted.

Before you press the button to craft, check that your system handles Control Resonant—Steam and the Epic Games Store list recommended settings; on PC, an NVIDIA RTX or modern AMD GPU will save you headaches during heavy fights.

How do you craft Artifacts in Control Resonant?

Find an Untapped Artifact in the world, collect the listed materials and the required Source, then use the Artifact Formation station in The Gap to convert the Untapped Artifact into a usable Artifact. The Untapped item is consumed in the process.

How do I find Artifacts in Control Resonant?

Artifacts show up as Untapped variants in the world—hidden rooms, defeated elite enemies, and reward caches often hide them. I recommend exploring side areas and checking vendor inventories in The Gap; Remedy Entertainment places a few in logical spots that reward thorough play.

Can you equip multiple Artifacts from the same family?

No. Artifacts from the same family cannot be equipped together. Choose the effect that best complements your build and recycle the rest back into materials when they no longer fit your goals.

If you want to push damage, pick Brass Dusters or Golden Earrings and accept the tradeoffs; if you prefer safety, Heart Monitor or Face Mask have distinct roles. I’ve shown you the what, the where, and the how—what Artifact combo will you gamble on next?
