All MOLE Puzzles: Complete Solutions & How to Solve

All MOLE Puzzles: Complete Solutions & How to Solve

I woke to a blinking console and a thin red light that wouldn’t stop accusing me. You can feel the ship watching you; every solved riddle peels back a layer of someone’s memory. The puzzles in MOLE are less obstacles and more pressure points—solve them wrong and the story closes its fist.

My watch read 03:12 on the bulkhead clock: MOLE puzzle guide — Solutions and steps

I’ve traced every circuit, memorized map markers, and kept a running list of what trips players up the most. Below you’ll find terse, usable directions for each puzzle, plus where to fetch what you need. Use Steam threads, Reddit posts, and YouTube clips if you want visuals—this guide tells you what to do, fast.

How do I power sectors with the Fusebox?

This is the first gating mechanic you meet. The panel won’t hold your hand—so here’s the repeatable routine:

  1. Insert the fuse(s) into the sector you want powered.
  2. Turn the numbered dial to indicate how many fuses are in use (point the arrow to that number).
  3. Flip switches 1, 3, 6, and 7 down; leave the others up.
  4. Press and hold the large button under the dial until it glows.
  5. Pull the large left lever to activate power.

Tip: keeping spares in Deck and Engine makes later puzzles less annoying. Check the Steam community if the panel behaves oddly; some players report visual bugs fixed by reloading the area.

How do I solve the Phone puzzle?

Everything you need sits in the phone booth. Follow the items in chronological order and feed them to VOSTOK:

  1. Dial: 8 273 6409
  2. Cassette ID: 51#
  3. Hospital ID: 12#
  4. Age on record: 6#
  5. Date of memory: 020179#

These numbers are handed to VOSTOK in sequence. If the game stumbles, a quick clip from YouTube can confirm the order visually.

Where are the broken parts in Engine and how do I fix them?

The gear opposite Bohdan Pluzhnik’s body is the target. Fix three areas: ventilation, pumps, and coolant.

Ventilation

Grab the fan from Pluzhnik’s gear pile (near the propane tanks). Go to the Engine room back-right corner, remove the broken fan with the screwdriver, and replace it.

Pumps

Crawl into the small access in the close-right corner of Engine to reach underneath. There’s a loose fuse on the crawlspace floor but you’ll need a second—take one from the Fusebox in Rec. Replacing the pump fuse restores power to about 100V; stash extras in Deck and Engine for later.

Coolant

Take the wrench from Pluzhnik’s workbench (opposite the torpedo locker). In Engine, pass the crawlspace, crouch under the pipes where steam vents, and tighten the nut to stop the leak.

How do I get the code in the Hospital puzzle?

Start behind reception and inspect the monitors while viewing the breathing patient. The first digit, 3, appears when you click the bed in the lobby.

  1. Go to the lounge at the back-right corner and interact with the TV—listen for movement cues.
  2. Find room 311 and enter; this gives you the middle digit.
  3. Return to reception; when all three monitors read 3 1 7 the key will appear.

With the key, enter Petro’s room, flip switches in this order: 2-4-3-5-1, then power the console off to transfer Petro’s memory to a VOSTOK cassette.

Torpedo puzzle: how do I arm and fire it?

The torpedo system is a pocket watch: small mechanical moves decide the whole thing.

Steps:

  1. Spin the wheel to lift the metal prod over the torpedo pod.
  2. Use the arrow controls beneath to remove the lock mechanism.
  3. Lift the pod, slide it open, and place a torpedo inside.
  4. Reverse the steps to close and seal the pod.
  5. Use the detonator: watch the depth meter, hit the detonator when the marker reaches the target, then press again to explode.

There’s a key in this room that opens the torpedo locker in the engineer area—if the mechanism refuses to accept a torpedo, double-check you removed the lock and fully lifted the pod.

How do I open the Gun case?

Read the note on the case, then check the four crew dorms. Each room hides one digit on a red sticky note:

  1. Administrator
  2. Navigator
  3. Geologist
  4. Engineer

The code is 8 3 5 7. If a digit is missing, consult Reddit threads for reported spawn bugs.

Where do the mosaics go and in what order?

The final puzzle accepts only swaps—you can only replace one mosaic with another and you cannot drop pieces. Use the scripture excerpt in each slot as your guide. From left to right, place the mosaics in this sequence:

  1. Angel appearing from Heaven’s door and arriving on land.
  2. Angel reading from a book and offering to the people.
  3. Two bearded men praying while burying a woman, Angel behind them.
  4. Angel and human together at center, arms spread.
  5. Humans throwing the Angel off an edge.
  6. Angel buried in golden stone, deep underground.

The Throne excerpts scattered through the Cockpit give the story in pieces—follow those passages as you collect mosaics.

Play smart, keep notes, and lean on the community if a visual bug halts progress; Moyens I/O, Steam guides, Reddit threads, and YouTube walkthroughs are all helpful allies. Which of these puzzles made you hesitate long enough to rethink the next move?
