I froze when the journal popped the quest name at the top of the screen: Picture Pursuit: Alice. For a beat the map looked like it had swallowed the motifs whole. You’ll get that same small stomach-tug the first time one hides behind a flower and refuses to be obvious.
I spent an hour tracing paths and backtracking so you don’t have to — I’ll point out the exact sightlines and shortcuts that saved me time. You already know the goal: find four Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Motifs and bring them back to Alice. Follow the steps below and you’ll clear this part of the event quicker than another update drops on Steam.
There’s a cooking station lying almost immediately off the spawn, and its flowers hide secrets — Picture Pursuit: Alice quest walkthrough in Disney Dreamlight Valley

- Talk to Alice. Find Alice and accept the Picture Pursuit: Alice task — that flips the quest marker on.
- Enter the Alice in Wonderland Realm. Use the Dream Castle door or fast travel from your map to teleport straight there.
- Search the first stretch of the Realm. All four Motifs are confined to the initial forest area; don’t waste time in the Queen of Hearts’ castle when you first arrive.
- Return to Alice. After you collect every Motif, speak with Alice to claim the reward and progress the Picture Pursuit event.
Where are the Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum motifs in Dreamlight Valley?
They’re concentrated in the forest near the spawn — not scattered across the whole map. The forest is a patchwork quilt of color, so small wall decorations can disappear into the scenery if you’re moving too fast.
The first section hides all four motifs in plain sight — All Picture Pursuit Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Motif locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
- First Motif — near the cooking station. From your spawn point walk forward a few steps; the cooking station sits left of the path. Check behind the flower ring at its base to spot the motif tucked there.

- Second Motif — beside the waterfall near the entrance pond. From the spawn head back toward the pond and scan up the left side of the waterfall. The motif sits on the wall there — easy to miss if you’re fixated on the water.

- Third Motif — above the ramp down to the tree portal. Head to the back right corner where the pink teleport mushroom sits. Walk past it, move down the ramp, round the first corner and look upward — the motif peeks out from behind a tree.

- Fourth Motif — on top of the tree portal. From that same back-right zone, go to the very bottom of the ramp and spot the grey-and-blue portal; the motif sits directly on top of it.

How do I trigger the Picture Pursuit: Alice quest?
Talk to Alice inside Disney Dreamlight Valley to begin. You can reach her by entering the Alice in Wonderland door at the Dream Castle or fast-traveling from the map on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, or via the Epic Games Store; the quest appears the moment she assigns it. If you play on Steam or consoles and you’re short on time, fast-travel cuts out the backtracking.
Move slowly through the first forest area, scan upward and behind objects, and collect each motif in order — the motifs are breadcrumbs guiding you back to Alice. When all four are in your inventory, return to Alice and claim the event progress.
