Continue? Quest Walkthrough - Disney Dreamlight Valley Guide

The arcade hummed a half-remembered tune and then went silent. You stand with a Glitchy Arcade Machine that swallowed a voice, and I remember the first time I chased one down across the valley. The machine is a wound in the map of the valley.

How to complete Continue? in Disney Dreamlight Valley

The plaza feels like the center of a small town square where something odd always gathers attention.

I’ll walk you through each step I tested on Steam and consoles, pointing out where the game hides its little friction points and what to do when the machine refuses to behave. Read fast or keep this tab open while you play on Xbox Series X, PlayStation, or PC via Epic Games Store—this guide follows the quest line that starts at the Plaza wishing well and ends with Ralph back in the valley.

Interact with the Glitchy Arcade Machine

You’ll notice the arcade sitting by the bridge leading to Dream Castle, exactly where curious things collect.

Walk up to the wishing well in the Plaza, cross the bridge toward Dream Castle, and interact with the visible Glitchy Arcade Machine. It triggers the quest and gives you the first line of dialogue to chase. If nothing happens, check that your game is updated on whatever platform you use—bugs sometimes block initial triggers on older builds.

Talk to The Forgotten

The Forgotten often wanders the valley like someone carrying a dozen half-remembered errands.

After the first interaction, track down The Forgotten. They’ll be scattered around the main valley; speak to them to learn this machine bears their name. Their confusion is part of the quest beat—they point you toward more machines and set the tone for the hunt.

How do I complete the Continue? quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Start with the Plaza machine, then follow The Forgotten’s trail: Scrooge McDuck’s shop, the Forgotten Lands treehouse, and Vanellope’s house. Each machine needs different attention—items, bricks, a bop, and eventually an Arcade Token that lets you finish by placing Ralph’s house and spending 10,000 Star Coins.

Shops in the valley always hide small tasks—this one hides a machine and a mess.

Bring The Forgotten to wherever your Scrooge McDuck shop is placed in the main valley. Inside you’ll find another Glitchy Arcade Machine surrounded by five piles of glitchy cables. These are obstacles you clear with magic interactions—approach each pile and remove it to reveal what’s underneath.

Gather the glitching snacks

Once you sweep away the cables you’ll see odd, flickering consumables strewn across the floor.

Collect three glitching root beers and three glitching pies from the shop floor. These items are used immediately—don’t stash them in your inventory and forget; the quest expects you to hand them over soon after clearing the mess.

Where is the Glitchy Arcade Machine located?

There are several: one by the Plaza wishing well, one inside Scrooge McDuck’s shop, another in the Forgotten Lands treehouse, and later one that appears at Vanellope’s house. If you can’t find a machine, consult your quest marker and talk to The Forgotten to refresh the hint.

Give the glitching pie and the glitching root beer to the Glitchy Arcade Machine

Feeding a machine is a strange moment that feels half-friendly and half-patiently terrifying.

Interact with the machine and offer the gathered snacks. The act causes the machine to vanish. After it disappears, return to The Forgotten and report what you saw. Their reactions steer you to the next area.

Search Dreamlight Valley for the Glitchy Arcade Machine

Walking the Forgotten Lands feels like hiking into a cousin’s attic where every corner has a story.

Head to the Forgotten Lands and find the massive treehouse at its center. Inside you’ll discover more glitchy cables, but this time you head indoors and focus on the machine inside the treehouse rather than clearing the external cables.

Hit the bricks around the Glitchy Arcade Machine

Three bricks sit stubbornly near the machine like store display samples someone forgot to put away.

Equip your Royal Pickaxe and break the three bricks scattered around the arcade. Give the collected bricks to the machine when prompted. It will speak once more and then vanish—another breadcrumb Fallen from whatever trapped Ralph in the first place.

How do I free Ralph in Dreamlight Valley?

After interacting with the final machines and handing over required items, The Forgotten will drop an Arcade Token. Use that on the Fix-It Felix Jr. machine, then place Ralph’s house and pay 10,000 Star Coins to complete the final step and bring Ralph back.

Check inside Vanellope’s house for the Glitchy Arcade Machine

Vanellope’s home usually feels like a gamer’s den—bright, noisy, and full of opinions.

Visit Vanellope’s house and speak to her. She’ll suggest a physical remedy: a firm whack. Clearing cables that block your path to the machine at her place is necessary before you interact.

Give the Glitchy Arcade Machine a good bop

Game logic sometimes reads as emotional logic: a thump can reset a stuck state.

Interact with the machine and choose the option to give it a bop. A glitchy Ralph-shaped silhouette will appear. Talk to Vanellope, and she’ll ask you to snap a photo with the silhouette. That image is a scripted beat that advances the quest.

Bake the My Hero Cookie recipe

The cooking station is a calm place where the game turns items into story currency.

Vanellope asks for the My Hero Cookie. At any cooking station you’ll need:

  • Wheat
  • Butter
  • Any Sweet

Use Vanilla or a Cocoa Bean as the sweet to avoid accidentally producing a different recipe. Once baked, return to Vanellope and hand the cookie over. It’s a ritual that fails to free Ralph but moves dialogue forward.

Use the Arcade Token

When the truth comes out, it often arrives as an item—small and heavy with blame.

The Forgotten confesses their role and drops an Arcade Token. Pick it up, then interact with the Fix-It Felix Jr. Machine. That restores part of Ralph, but you aren’t finished until you complete the final build step.

Free Ralph by placing his house in the valley

Placing a house in a valley is as mundane as putting a chair in a room, but it carries weight here.

Open Furniture mode, select The Forgotten’s quest icon, and place Ralph’s house outline where you want it. Then interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign in front of the outline and spend 10,000 Star Coins to finalize construction. After building, chat with Ralph to formally invite him to the valley and finish the Continue? quest. Ralph’s silhouette becomes a full person again, and the story moves on.
