Best Mitya Build in Genshin Impact — Weapons, Artifacts & Teams

I was mid-pull when the beacons blinked out and my timing collapsed. You know that cold second where your plan becomes a scramble. I’ll walk you through a Mitya that actually performs on-field and off-field.

At a busy control room you can tell which systems are live by the blinking panels—Mitya’s kit is the kind of precision that blinks back

I’ve read the numbers, tested rotations, and watched teams crumble because a single Gradient Beacon was wasted. Mitya’s core mechanic is his Detection Core, created by his Elemental Skill. It follows the on-field character and behaves differently depending on state:

  • Steady State: The core grants +30 Elemental Mastery to the party per Gradient Beacon Mitya has and can be consumed to deal heavy Stellar-Conduct reaction damage.
  • Overloaded (tap Elemental Skill again): Mitya consumes Gradient Beacons to fire a continuous charged attack that shreds through enemy defenses with massive Stellar-Conduct reaction damage.

His Combat Passive flips Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct, which generates additional Gradient Beacons and puts him into Radiance for a Polestar Field that sits on whoever’s on-field. That field raises Mitya’s CRIT Rate by 5% per beacon (20% max) and scales Stellar-Conduct damage with his maximum Elemental Mastery. His Burst can create up to four beacons, and when used effectively the whole party benefits.

You can judge a craftsman by their toolbox—weapons change how Mitya threads EM into crits

Make no mistake: the weapon you choose reshapes the way he converts Elemental Mastery into damage. Mitya’s signature catalyst, Starsealed Edict, is his bedrock: high CRIT DMG plus multiple EM buffs that feed Stellar-Conduct’s crit ceiling. If you’re short on pulls, Dawning Frost is a four-star that aggressively stacks EM on charged and skill hits. Reliquary of Truth also plays nice if you can’t activate every passive.

What is the best weapon for Mitya?

Starsealed Edict is the ideal choice for pure DPS because it gives CRIT DMG and EM stacks tied to Elemental Skill and reactions. Dawning Frost is the best four-star alternative. For planning, plug these into build tools like Genshin.gg or Honey Impact to simulate CRIT EM breakpoints.

Weapon Main Stat (Level 90) Sub Stat (Level 90) Passive effects (R1)
Starsealed Edict (5-Star) 542 ATK 88.2% CRIT DMG +24% CRIT DMG. +48 EM for 20 seconds following an Elemental Skill. +24 EM per elemental reaction triggered by teammates during the above’s uptime (to a maximum of three stacks). If on Radiant: Stellar-Conduct, each stack also offers +12% Stellar-Conduct reaction Crit DMG to Mitya.
Reliquary of Truth (5-Star) 542 ATK 88.2% CRIT DMG +8% CRIT Rate. +80 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds after using an Elemental Skill.+4% CRIT DMG upon dealing Lunar-Bloom DMG. If the DMG and EM effects are up simultaneously, increase them by 50%.
Dawning Frost (4-Star) 510 ATK 55.1% CRIT DMG +72 Elemental Mastery after scoring a charged attack (10s).+48 Elemental Mastery after hitting an enemy with an Elemental Skill (10s).

In a crowded wardrobe you pick the outfit that matches the occasion—artifacts set the mood for Mitya’s role

Weapons usually handle CRIT DMG and some EM; artifacts must fill the gaps: Elemental Mastery, Energy Recharge, and CRIT Rate. For main DPS, a 4-piece Disenchantment in Deep Shadow leans into his CRIT DMG-heavy signature weapon. For sub-DPS (EM reaction) roles, a full Gilded Dreams set sits better with party buffs and off-field scaling.

Use these main stats to close the build:

  • Flower of Life: HP
  • Plume of Death: ATK
  • Sands of Eon: Elemental Mastery
  • Goblet of Eonothem: Elemental Mastery
  • Circlet of Logos: CRIT Rate > Elemental Mastery

How do I build Mitya as a main DPS or sub-DPS?

As main DPS, push CRIT DMG and EM while keeping enough Energy Recharge for Burst uptime. As sub-DPS, prioritize EM and reliable Electro application to feed Stellar-Conduct. Run your numbers on Honey Impact or Genshin.gg to find the EM-to-CRIT ratio that maximizes Stellar-Conduct damage for your roster.

When a band plays tight, you hear the leader—team comps tell you how Mitya wants to be used

Mitya leans on Cryo enablers to feed Overload-charged combos on-field, and a sturdy shielder or battery smooths his Radiance uptime. The classic pairing is Odette (Cryo enabler), Valeriy (shield/buffer), and Yae Miko (electro application and energy), but there are F2P-friendly options too.

  • Mitya + Odette + Yae Miko + Valeriy (C6)
  • Mitya + Qiqi + Yae Miko + Valeriy
  • Mitya + Sucrose/Yae Miko + Diona + Valeriy (F2P pick)

Is Mitya a must-pull?

No. Mitya is a premier Electro/Stellar-Conduct option, but he isn’t the only answer. Characters like Cyno can fill similar roles in some metas, and a C1 Yae Miko can eclipse his value as a sub-DPS in many teams. If you want to test ceilings and rotations, the Genshin.gg damage simulator or community threads on KeqingMains and Reddit are useful for side-by-side comparisons.

You can win a chess game by trading pieces—Mitya as a sub-DPS is about EM leverage

When you drop Mitya into a reaction-focused slot, he often replaces Yae Miko as the Electro applier in Sandrone or pairs with Wriothesley for hybrid burst windows. He excels where EM scales team Stellar-Conduct damage rather than pure on-field Electro burst spam.

  • Sandrone + Mitya + Odette + Escoffier/Alyosha (Best in Slot)
  • Wriothesley/Cryo Traveler + Mitya + Odette + Yae Miko (If you don’t have Sandrone)
  • Cyno + Mitya + Odette/Qiqi + Yae Miko (F2P friendly)

On a collector’s shelf you can admire a rare piece—pulling for Mitya should be intentional, not impulsive

I’ve seen people spend for characters out of hype and regret the loss of flexibility later. Mitya is excellent, but not irreplaceable: other Electro carries or a properly built Yae Miko can mimic or exceed his contributions depending on your squad.

For planning and spreadsheets, use Honey Impact, Genshin.gg, and community Discords to test your EM-to-CRIT breakpoints. Treat Mitya like a precision instrument: one wrong stat and those Gradient Beacons will feel like a string of missed cues. Are you going to build him for spectacle or efficiency?
