I landed in Outpost with a Necrotic Sample burning through my shields. You feel the air thin the moment the objective appears on the HUD. The stairs behind the red door decide whether this run becomes a highlight or a trip to orbit.
I’ve run this contract enough times to strip away the guesswork. I’ll walk you through the two must-do steps so you finish the Introducing: Sekiguchi liaison without dying to slow damage or missing the scan. Read fast, move faster.
Marathon Introducing: Sekiguchi contract walkthrough
Observation: Most players sprint across Outpost and never check the small buildings tucked against the southern ridge.
The Sekiguchi liaison breaks down cleanly into two objectives you must complete in a single run. Miss one, and you’ll restart the contract. Complete both, and Sekiguchi opens as a faction with its sponsored kits and upgrades.
- Inject the Necrotic Sample in southern Flight Control
- Scan your shell in a southeastern Orientation
How do I inject the Necrotic Sample in Flight Control?

Start at the Outpost map’s southern Flight Control POI. If your map pin matches the image above, you’ll see a small building with a red door. Enter, take the stairs on the left to the second floor, and the quest marker will appear.

Approach the sample and inject it. The Sample is a ticking fuse. It applies damage over time while it’s attached to you, so carry healing consumables and play defensively for the next stretch.

Tip: If you’re on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, slow your pace through the immediate chokepoints and use cover. If you play with teammates, call out when you take the Sample so your squad can provide overwatch. Moyens I/O’s screenshots show the exact door and stairs if you want a visual cue before you drop in.
Where do I scan your shell in the southeastern Orientation?

From Flight Control on the western edge, move east across the map toward the Orientation POI. At the marked spot, turn left and take the stairs, then right through the first door. Keep moving straight until you hit a walkway; the quest marker appears at the end.
The marker is a homing beacon that points you to the scanner — don’t second-guess it. Reach the spot, perform the scan, and the Introducing: Sekiguchi contract completes.
Complete both objectives in one run and Sekiguchi’s faction doors open. You’ll then have access to sponsored kits and upgrades available through Bungie’s faction system on whatever platform you play.
Will you take the Sample and rush the walkways, or run a clean, slow extraction to stack the faction rewards safely?
