Command Module: How to Get It in AI Uplink (Selection Pressures 1)

Command Module: How to Get It in AI Uplink (Selection Pressures 1)

You crouch at the top of a metal stairwell while distant alarms mutter like bad radio interference. The lab’s lights flicker; a single terminal glows where a commander’s body should be. You can feel the map closing around you if you hesitate.

I’ve run this run enough times to know which doors are worth kicking and which ones are bait. You’ll get the Command Module, decrypt it, and hand it off — faster than the other teams — if you move with purpose and read the markers I point out.

Marathon Selection Pressures 1 contract walkthrough

The basement of any research facility smells faintly of solder and stale coffee — the sign of a place people used to work and then left in a hurry. The Selection Pressures 1 contract splits into three clean tasks: retrieve the Command Module from the Commander’s remains in the AI Uplink basement, run the module to the Anomaly’s western building to decrypt it, and drop the decrypted item into any DCON on the Dire Marsh map.

  • Acquire Command Module from Commander in AI Uplink Basement
  • Decrypt the Module in the building on the western side of the Anomaly
  • Deliver Decrypted Command Module to DCON

Where is the Commander in the AI Uplink basement?

Follow the map marker to the AI Uplink POI and enter the single-story entrance that leads down. The Uplink basement is a spiderweb of corridors; one wrong turn tosses you into a firefight you didn’t ask for.

Enter the marked building, push forward until you hit the fork pictured below, then take the left door. Keep moving; the Commander’s remains — and the Module — sit at the end of the corridor past a locked door and a cluster of broken consoles.

How do I decrypt the Command Module?

There’s a small building on the western edge of the Anomaly POI with a terminal that accepts the corrupted Module. The terminal sits under a broken canopy; interact with it and the module will decode. Treat that window like the only lane on a highway; if you miss it, another player will beat you to the handoff.

Where are the DCONs on Dire Marsh and how do I deliver?

Three DCON terminals sit around the Dire Marsh; any one will accept the decrypted Module. Open the DCON’s inventory, place the Module in it, and the system will queue the return. Think of the DCON handoff like dropping a package in a mailbox — the action is small, but it closes the contract.

Execution tips: move in tight with cover, mark the Uplink entrance on your HUD, and expect other players or AI to ambush common routes. Bungie’s patch notes and community threads on Reddit show that spawn timings and POI behavior shift often — refresh your route if a change pushes campers into the basement stairwell.

If you want a clean run, avoid the central open areas and run the marked corridors exactly as shown above; patience at the door is more valuable than sprinting into the room and trading lives. Do you walk out with the Module and the glory, or do you let the marsh swallow another chance?
